Tender! "Best value for money lunch" - a hearty aged beef steak (Miyama City)

I've been trying aged meat at a variety of restaurants recently, and I'd like to introduce to you one lunch that I found to be a great value for money.
Enjoy high-quality aged meat at a reasonable price! "Yakiniku Renge" (Miyama City)
So, I arrived at Takada-cho, Miyama City.
Head south on Route 209, turn right at the JA gas station just before Noshi, Takada-cho...
At the end of this peaceful road...
there was.
This is Yakiniku Renge, a famous restaurant that Miyama City is proud of.
It seems to be used by a wide range of people, from families with children to large groups, in a variety of situations.
The location is really hard to find, and until now it was a restaurant that only those in the know knew about...but recently it has been full, especially at lunchtime, and I often have to give up going.
It might be a good idea to make a reservation or call ahead to confirm before you go.
There are two private rooms.
There are also sunken kotatsu style seats available.
Starting from 680 yen! A variety of great value lunches
The prices are really cheap, probably because the owner aims to provide "the cheapest and most delicious lunch possible."

Here is a part of the lunch menu.
・"Daily Set Meal" (780 yen)
・"Hamburger set meal" (980 yen)
・Fried chicken set meal (680 yen)
・"Chicken Nanban set meal" (880 yen)
・"Chicken Nanban set meal with one thigh" (1,180 yen)
・"Steak set meal" (1,280 yen)
It's amazing that there are restaurants these days where you can get a set meal for 680 yen.
It's a bit too much effort, but the portions are undoubtedly huge so you'll be full.
Our top recommendation is the tender and filling "Steak Set Meal"
This time we will introduce the "Steak Set Meal" (1,280 yen) made with aged beef served on a hot iron plate. It comes with rice, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish.
There is about 120 to 130 grams of meat, which is honestly more than enough for lunch.

The meat is dry-aged so it is extremely tender.
They can cook it thoroughly on a hot plate after it is brought to you, or you can have it thoroughly cooked from the start.
I like to eat it rare.
I hope you can understand that this meat remains very firm even after it's cooked to a certain extent.
What's more, aged meat is unique in that it remains soft even when cooled.

It's so light that you could eat 10 kilos of it.
You can also be a little more conscious and add salt and wasabi.
It is packed with high-quality fat, so when combined with the flavor of wasabi it creates an elegant taste.
It might be good to use wasabi in the first half and sauce in the second half.
Sprinkle some spices on the table...
This spice has a versatile flavor that would be great to have at a BBQ.
By the way, if there are many requests to buy meat and spices, they will consider selling them.
I'm so used to it that I even make arrangements like this. Just gather the small side dishes that come with it, pour the sauce over it, and your mini steak bowl is ready in no time.
There are probably still many people who don't know that you can eat food of this quality at a low price in Miyama City.

Of course, since it's a yakiniku restaurant, the main dish is yakiniku, right? At night, it becomes a full-on yakiniku restaurant, so be sure to visit in the evening too!
