[Itoshima Cafe] The fluffy and creamy egg sandwich is a must-try! A popular shop offering the finest egg food and sweets
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
The Itoshima area is full of wonderful cafes and shops and is a must-see when visiting Fukuoka.
We'd like to introduce you to a popular cafe that serves delicious egg dishes.
"Itoshima Farmhouse UOVO" (Itoshima City) offers food and sweets made with "Tenjo Eggs"
About 40 minutes by car from the center of Fukuoka. As you head down Sunset Road from Shima Sakurai towards Futamigaura, you will see a pure white building on your right called "Itoshima Farmhouse UOVO".
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes and sweets made with "Tenjoran" eggs, a brand of eggs laid by free-range chickens.
There is a large free parking lot, so it's nice to be able to stop by without hesitation during your drive.
The shop is on the left side of the entrance and the cafe is on the right side.
The shop sells "Tenjo Tamago", vegetables from local farmers, soy sauce specially made for egg rice, and many other original "UOVO" goods.
All-you-can-eat "Tenjo Tamago" for just 900 yen! The very popular "Exquisite Egg on Rice"
At the back of the shop, there is a space where you can eat the shop's recommended dish, "Exquisite Raw Egg and Rice Set" (900 yen).
When you order the "Superb Raw Egg on Rice Set," a basket full of "Tenjo Eggs" is brought to you along with rice, miso soup, and a small bowl of rice. You can have as much rice as you want, and you can eat as many eggs as you like!
Apparently there are people who have eaten 20 of them! It's irresistible for egg lovers!
"Tenjo Tamago" is said to be "low cholesterol and low fat" yet "high protein". It is chewy and rich, and a little soy sauce is enough to make it delicious! I also had a second helping of rice and finished off five of them.
A popular cafe treat! Fluffy "Hot Egg Sandwich"
In front of the cafe is a cute egg-shaped table set. It looks great on social media.
Here you can enjoy sandwiches and hamburgers made with "Tenjo Eggs."
You can also enjoy yourself on the grass in front of the shop, where there are tables and chairs like swings.
This is the very popular "Hot Egg Sandwich" (900 yen for a single item, 1,500 yen for a set). The set comes on one plate with fries, boiled eggs, nuggets, and cherry tomatoes.
The sandwich is filled with fluffy, runny eggs to the brim! Apparently, they use three "Tenjo eggs." It's so thick that it looks like it's going to spill out if you press it lightly with both hands!
With a melting texture and gentle sweetness, it was irresistibly delicious.
Eating on the terrace while feeling the breeze of Itoshima is such a luxurious experience!!
There is also a "Children's Lunch" (750 yen) that is packed with popular children's dishes such as a mini omelet rice, egg salad, fried chicken, fried shrimp, and jelly.
After you've had your fill, we recommend sitting on a swing chair and relaxing in the sun.
By the way, UOVO also offers bicycle rentals. It's nice to grab some sandwiches and drinks and head to the beach by bicycle.
If you are driving around Itoshima, please stop by. (Text: Hakata Aya.)
