Costco: Top 3 Food Court Recommendations Carefully Selected by Kosuko

Costco expert Kosuko's carefully selected 3 recommended food court menu items that are "highly praised for their deliciousness"

Hello! I'm Kosuko, a housewife who loves the members-only warehouse store Costco.

The fun of Costco doesn't just come from shopping inside the warehouse, but also continues at the food court after you're done shopping.

When you think of Costco's food court, the first thing that comes to mind is the big-sized hot dogs! There must be many people who eat one every time they go.

A huge, meaty sausage made from 100% pork and a fluffy bun. You can add as many toppings as you like of onions and pickles, and eat it with plenty of ketchup and mustard - a very American style! It comes with unlimited drinks and is priced at an amazing 180 yen.

It's true that it's extremely satisfying, but wait a minute! In fact, Costco's food court has a lot of other attractive items besides hot dogs. It would be a waste to be satisfied with just hot dogs!

This time, I, Kosuko, would like to introduce three recommended menu items from Costco's food court.

The Shrimp Cutlet Burger is so delicious and filling it's almost laughable!

The "Shrimp Cutlet Burger" (780 yen) is an impressive burger with a thick shrimp cutlet sandwiched between a huge bun.

The price is a bit higher than a hot dog, but once you try it, it makes sense!

It looks like it has the volume of two regular hamburgers, but it's very heavy. It's about 12cm in diameter and weighs more than 300g. When I first received it, I couldn't help but laugh at its size.

Although "Ebikatsu" is said to be a dish that originated in Japan, the size of this dish is incredibly American! It's full of excitement.

The main attraction is of course the large shrimp cutlet! It's about 2cm thick.

The spicy coleslaw, fresh frilly lettuce, and plenty of vegetables are all sandwiched between thick buns, so much so that the thought of eating it all together will make your jaw drop.

The shrimp cutlet is stuffed with minced shrimp, which gives it a nice, chewy texture and makes it super delicious!

The coleslaw has a crunchy texture and a slightly spicy flavor that adds a nice accent to the dish. The sauce is not a typical tartar sauce, but has a sour taste similar to southern dressing.

The combination of various flavors and vegetables somehow made it feel light and refreshing even though I was eating a huge fried shrimp cutlet. It didn't feel as heavy as it looked. I thought I'd never be able to finish it, but I ended up gobbling it all down in no time.

If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that it's so thick that it's really hard to eat! Even if I try my best to eat it neatly, it's hard to fit it all in my mouth, and by the end of the meal, my mouth and hands are all soaked with sauce...

Well, I think that the difficulty of eating is part of what makes it a ``giant burger,'' but I still enjoy it.

Crispy chicken sticks are great! "Chicken Sticks & Potatoes" are delicious even when re-baked

"Chicken Sticks and Potatoes" (980 yen) is a large bucket-like container packed with chicken and potatoes.

This one also has a large capacity, typical of Costco! It has a partition in the middle, and on one side are finger-type chicken sticks with a thin coating, and on the other side are french fries.

Costco's food court doesn't use fryers for cooking, so the chicken sticks and fries are baked in the oven instead of deep-fried, so the food is less oily overall.

The potatoes are crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.

I especially love the chicken sticks, they're so tasty! The chicken is cut into strips and coated in batter, and like potatoes, it has a shape that makes it easy to pick up and eat with your hands. The batter is thinner than it looks and has a nice crispy texture, and the chicken inside has a fibrous texture and a chewy texture, but is also very tender!

Of course, it's good to eat it right away at the food court, but I also recommend taking it home and having it with everyone! In my house, my kids love chicken and potatoes, so when I take it home, it usually becomes a snack and meal for the kids.

Even if it cools down, you can easily rebake it deliciously with a crispy exterior by heating the chicken sticks and potatoes together in a Teflon frying pan without adding oil.

It also looks impressive, so it's recommended as a gift for a home party!

Unbelievably delicious melon flavor! "Hokkaido Melon Smoothie"

In addition to the standard items, many of Costco's food court menu items are sold for a limited time only. The latest menu item is the "Hokkaido Melon Smoothie" (300 yen, available at all warehouse stores until early June).

The smoothie, served in a generous 16-ounce (approximately 500 ml) container, is made with red-fleshed melon and has a vibrant deep crimson orange color that makes it look like carrot juice.

Another feature of this product is that it is made without artificial sweeteners, synthetic colorings, or flavorings, meaning that the color is a natural color made only from fruit.

This has an incredibly strong melon flavor and is so delicious!

It's like someone has scraped off the sweet, juicy part from the center of a melon and gathered it all together! It's juicy and richly sweet.

But the aftertaste is clean and refined, making it truly luxurious! Every sip fills you with a sense of euphoria.

In fact, this melon smoothie is one of my top three favorite items out of all the food court menu items that have ever been introduced.

This smoothie is characterized by its fine, crunchy ice and refreshing taste, but as we head into the hot season, the ice melts quickly and the smoothie's crunchiness is quickly lost.

Smoothies taste best when they're freshly made, so be sure to enjoy them as soon as you pick them up at the food court.

What did you think? All of the products introduced this time are truly recommended. I hope you will find them useful! (Text by Kosuko)
