Croissants so delicious you could eat them forever! A bakery in Ukiha that "really wants to keep it a secret"
Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce some delicious bakeries in Ukiha City.
They mainly serve croissants and bread, which are so delicious you'll think, ``A genius has arrived here!''
To be honest, I don't want to tell anyone because I don't want it to be too crowded. I hope you all will keep it a secret. Let's go right away.
I really want to keep this a secret! Croissant and bread specialty store "Nakagawa Bakery" (Ukiha City)
"Nakagawa Bakery" is located in Yamakita, Ukiha-cho, Ukiha City.
I was also lost, but if you use a map on your phone or a car navigation system, you might get lost. Here's the route that Google Maps showed me.
The tour ends at a place that doesn't have the feel of a bakery anywhere and makes you think, "This definitely isn't the place."
Then I noticed something stuck on it.
Well, no matter how you look at it, this is definitely the back door.
If not here...maybe this one.
Feeling a bit like an adventurer, I walked along the narrow alleyway...
Wow, it's really spacious.
I think there may be others who have had the same experience as me, so I would like to provide some more information.
I walked straight ahead to the train tracks, following the small sign posted there.
Turn right just before the tracks.
If you continue straight ahead,
There is an entrance to the parking lot. If you enter from here, you will arrive directly at the place I mentioned earlier as "so spacious!"
So, I would like to introduce you to "Nakagawa Bakery" again.
The inside of the store looks like this. It's not very large, so it might be better to go in small groups.
It opens at 7am, but the products aren't ready until around 10am, so it might be best to go at that time.
Customize your own croissants! A wide variety of croissants
There are so many different kinds of croissants available that you'll have a hard time deciding which one to get.
There is a round croissant called "croissant roll",
They also have Danishes, so before you know it, the tray keeps getting fuller.
We also have a daily special loaf of bread (1 loaf).
It's nice to be able to enjoy different flavors every day.
And here's the real highlight of Bakery Nakagawa: when you buy a croissant, you can choose what to put in between the two.
The cream flavors are the "Crust Croissant," "Chocolate Croissant," "Caramel Croissant," "Vanilla Croissant," "Pistachio Croissant," and "Matcha Croissant." The butter flavors are the "Anko Butter Croissant" and "Japanese Chestnut Butter Croissant." It's great that you can customize the variety. They will make it for you after you order.
The light croissants look like they could be eaten forever! Tasting the bread I bought
I bought a lot of things that caught my eye. This time I will deliver this lineup.
Let's start with their signature item, the simple "Croissant" (281 yen).
The subtle scent of butter is very elegant.
The outside is crispy and the inside is chewy. "This is a familiar texture. I know it," I thought as I continued to eat it.
This is so light that you can eat it forever.
This was the first time I had ever eaten such a light croissant. It's a unique croissant and I can see why it's so popular.
It makes me shudder to imagine how much effort the owner must have put into achieving this texture.
Next up, how about the "Bicolor Croissant" (281 yen)?
When you hold it you'll realize that it's lighter than you'd imagine.
Is it because it contains a lot of air?
The aroma of cocoa makes it easy to drink.
This is a customized "Croissant" "Red Bean Butter Sandwich" (388 yen).
Just take a look at this. I couldn't help but laugh at the amount of butter, which made me want to say, "That's too much!"
However, I didn't feel the weight of the butter at all, and the taste was truly amazing.
The last item is the "Apple Danish" (378 yen), which is made with the same dough as the croissants.
I think the elegant combination of cinnamon and apple is quite common, but this is the first time I've tasted it.
I wonder how they get this flavor. It wouldn't be this sweet if you just baked it as is.
If you don't mind cinnamon, you should definitely try this! It's especially delicious when it's freshly made. When I buy freshly made ones, I don't take them home, I enjoy them right away in the car. I really recommend it.
Bakery Nakagawa is definitely worth a visit, as you can really feel the owner's passion and dedication to croissants. (Text by Yorimitsu)
