Perfect for a drive! 850 yen "Bake your own dumplings" and creamy "Matcha Tiramisu" (Yame City)
Hello♪ I'm chippachapus and I love going to cafes.
This time, we will introduce you to shops where you can casually enjoy authentic sweets and drinks made with matcha!
A must-visit on a drive to Yame! A Japanese sweets shop surrounded by tea fields, "Chasho Murozono Japanese Cafe" (Yame City)
"Chasho Murozono Japanese Cafe" is located in Imabukuro, Yame City, about an hour's drive from Fukuoka city.
Chasho Murozono, which produces a wide variety of tea including deep-steamed Yame tea, started this Japanese cafe with the theme of food that pairs well with tea.
All of our tea and matcha comes from our own tea farm, and we process and prepare it all in our own factory.
The shop is surrounded by tea fields where tea leaves that have won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award, the highest award for Japanese tea, are grown.
There are wooden swings, tables and chairs in the tea fields, so you can relax and enjoy the view of the tea fields.
Inside the store, there is a sales section for tea leaves, sweets, tea utensils, etc.,
There is a cafe space next door.
Super reasonably priced! "Dumpling Set" where you can grill your own dumplings and enjoy them with homemade condiments
This time we would like to introduce the "Dumpling Set" (850 yen), which was newly introduced around February 2024, and the "Tiramisu" (600 yen), which has been popular since the cafe opened.
The photo shows the "Dumpling Set (with Zenzai)" (1,150 yen) and the "Tiramisu Set" (1,200 yen) together.
The "Dumpling Set" comes with three dumplings, three types of condiments, and a small charcoal grill, allowing you to grill and finish the sweet treat yourself.
Only 10 sets are available per day, so we recommend ordering early.
The dumplings are large in size and have a chewy and crunchy texture.
You can cook it to your desired doneness, but we recommend cooking it until it is well browned and crispy on the outside.
Once cooked, add seasonings and it's done!
The condiments are all homemade and from the front they are "Mitarashi", "Anko" and "High-quality Matcha". "Soybean flour" is also available.
The "Premium Matcha" allowed me to directly taste the rich flavor of matcha.
The "anko" is a smooth "koshian" paste with a soft, sweet taste that spreads across your tongue and is delicious!
The mitarashi had a strong sweetness and a sticky texture.
All of them went well with the dumplings and were very delicious.
If you order the "Dumpling Set (with Zenzai)," you can enjoy the grilled dumplings with sweet Zenzai.
"Matcha Tiramisu" is made fresh every morning and is chock-full of cream ♡ It comes in an innovative wooden box
This is the "Tiramisu Set" (1,200 yen). The popular "Tiramisu" comes with "Matcha Terrine" and "Matcha Ganache".
In the photo, we also ordered "Yame Matcha" (450 yen).
"Tiramisu" is filled with plenty of mascarpone cream that is made every morning.
It is topped off with a generous drizzle of matcha and served in a small masu.
The cream has a slight cheese flavor and is fluffy and light in texture.
It also combines with matcha to create a gentle flavor.
There's also a homemade sponge cake soaked in matcha hidden inside.
This is "Matcha Terrine."
Apparently it uses a generous amount of high-quality matcha, giving it a very rich flavor. You can really taste the bitterness of the matcha, making it a slightly more mature terrine.
This is the "Matcha Nama Chocolate" that can only be eaten with the Tiramisu set.
It's very smooth and melts in your mouth. It's also topped with matcha powder, so you can really enjoy the rich matcha flavor.
Drinks to go with sweets
This is "Yame Matcha" that is made fresh after an order is placed. It goes well with the matcha desserts.
This is the "Matcha Soy Milk Latte (with Chlorella)" (550 yen). This healthy matcha latte is made from 100% plant ingredients and contains chlorella, an algae known as a healthy food.
The taste was almost the same as a regular matcha latte, with a gentle matcha flavor.
If you are heading to Yame, be sure to stop by! (Text by chippachapus)
