We'll introduce you to some noteworthy strawberry sweets that are available for a limited time at a hugely popular dining restaurant in Kokura.

Fully booked even on weekdays! The hugely popular dining restaurant "Giraffe Monochrome" (Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)

The dining restaurant "Giraffe Monochrome" is a 5-minute walk from JR Kokura Station through Uomachi Gintengai.

The store's name "Giraffe" comes from the word for giraffe, so be sure to look for the giraffe on the sign.

As the name "Monochrome" suggests, the interior of the store is designed to represent black and white.

The open and bright dining space to the left of the entrance has a "white" theme.

Meanwhile, the space on the right has a black theme, creating an adult atmosphere. There is a bar counter where you can enjoy your meal while looking at the aquarium, and private rooms separated by curtains (charge: 300 yen per person for 2 hours).

There are 102 seats in total, but it is full even on weekdays! It is also popular with families, as they are also happy to accommodate strollers. It can be used for various occasions, such as lunch, cafe time, and late-night bar time.

The aim of the day was to try two types of strawberry sweets that are available for a limited time until Monday, May 6th, 2024 (a public holiday).

The first one is "Strawberry Mont Blanc Tart made with freshly squeezed strawberries" (1,848 yen).

First, a cheese tart topped with strawberry ice cream and sliced strawberries is brought out.

Afterwards, they squeeze out Mont Blanc cream made from white chocolate and strawberry sauce right in front of you!

The extremely thin Mont Blanc cream is squeezed out so many times that the tart is no longer visible, which is a luxurious experience.

Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top to finish! It's the perfect size for one person, or to share with 2-3 people after a meal.

The strawberry ice cream, with its rich strawberry flavor and refreshing tartness, goes perfectly with the sticky Mont Blanc cream! The crispy texture of the tart crust also adds a nice accent to the flavor.

The other is the "Spring Fragrance Strawberry Butter Sandwich" (1,892 yen), which uses the shop's signature pancakes.

Pancakes sandwiched with plenty of strawberry buttercream! The thick buttercream is so delicious!

The fluffy pancakes and buttercream packed with the deliciousness of strawberries are a perfect combination!

It's not too sweet, so you can add the chocolate sauce provided on top to adjust the sweetness to your liking.

Drizzling chocolate sauce on top will make it look even cuter ♡ The buttercream is soft, so cut it slowly ♪

This is also a limited time offer until May 6, 2024! New release of the popular pasta dish!

The restaurant's hugely popular menu item, "Scorched Cheese Volcano Pasta," will also be available as a limited-time menu item until Monday, May 6, 2024 (a public holiday).

The "Whole Camembert Shrimp Basil Volcano" (3,201 yen) uses an entire Camembert cheese!

When it is brought to you, you can see chunks of Camembert cheese.

As the staff stirs it enthusiastically, the steam rises and the delicious aroma of basil and cheese wafts through the air.

The green pasta noodles made with spinach are fresh! It also contains large shrimp and is filled with cheese, making it very satisfying! It's very filling, so it would be good to share it with 2-3 people.

Recommended companion: Colorful drinks

There is a wide variety of drinks available. My recommendation is the non-alcoholic cocktail "mocktail"!

From the left, "Pingre Soda" (748 yen) and "CC Virgin" (792 yen). The "CC Virgin" that I chose that day is a drink full of vitamin C made with kiwi, lemon, and pineapple. The texture of the pineapple on top was a nice accent and made it delicious.

The "Cream Soda" (770 yen) is also popular and comes in six flavors, including strawberry and melon as shown in the photo, grape, peach, lychee, and blue Hawaii. With a wide variety of colors, it's perfect for idol and anime lovers.
