This time, we will introduce the Strawberry Fair at a popular cafe in Kyomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City.

Canelés are a big hit! Stylish light-colored cafe "cafe and bar Lunadoraco" (Kyomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)

Cafe and bar Lunadoraco opened in August 2021. It is located about a 7-minute walk from JR Kokura Station.

In addition to being able to enjoy lunch plates and a wide variety of sweets, the shop is also popular as a "night cafe" as it is open until 11:30pm.

Their signature dishes are "Canelé" (from 300 yen), "Monaka" (230 yen), and "Financier" (250 yen). They are available for takeout, so they make great gifts.

Among them, the "Canelé" is always sold out and reservations are required. In addition to the standard flavors of cinnamon, matcha, vanilla, and roasted green tea, there are about five kinds of seasonal flavors on offer.

I also used it as a gift and it was well received, with people saying it was "so delicious!"

The interior of the store is a stylish space decorated in light colors, with the "Luna" motif, as in the store's name, appearing throughout the interior.

Strawberry and roasted pistachio parfait

The "Strawberry and Roasted Pistachio Parfait" (1,150 yen) is very popular every year. The moon-shaped cookies and cute colors are cute.

Inside is pistachio ice cream, milk jelly, 2-3 strawberries (depending on the size), and a cookie.

The rich pistachio ice cream, milk jelly, and sweet and sour strawberries go perfectly together. The crunchy texture of the cookies also adds a nice accent, and I was very satisfied.

Strawberry fresh canelé set

The ever-popular canelé will also be available at the Strawberry Fair. The limited-edition strawberry-flavored canelé is topped with plenty of fresh cream and a whole strawberry in the Strawberry Fresh Canelé Set (1,150 yen with drink).

Canelés are already delicious, so there's no way they wouldn't go well with fresh cream and strawberries.

Adding the accompanying chocolate sauce makes it even more luxurious!

Strawberry Milk

The "Strawberry Milk (hot/iced)" (850 yen) is also very popular every year. The appearance and taste have been upgraded, and this season you can enjoy it hot too!

By the way, you can also add it to your "Strawberry Fresh Canelé Set" as a drink for an additional 300 yen.

The hot coffee with fluffy milk floating on top is also served in a pot, so it's nice that the portions are generous.

The ice cream is topped with whipped cream and strawberries, and strawberry sauce is at the bottom. Mix well before drinking.

Strawberry waffle

"Strawberry Waffle" (750 yen), which was popular last season and has been reintroduced.

The waffle is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, baked in-house, topped with whipped cream, a single strawberry, and plenty of homemade strawberry sauce. It's a combination you can't beat.

Strawberry whipped cream in monaka bean paste

A limited edition version of the popular "Monaka" called "Strawberry Whipped in Monaka Bean Paste" (480 yen) is said to be the staff's top recommendation.

The crispy monaka is filled with plenty of black bean paste, whipped cream, and strawberries. It's the perfect size for when you want to eat a little something.
