30 kinds of delicious strawberry sweets and 10 kinds of snacks! The ever-popular "Strawberry Dessert Buffet" (in front of Hakata Station)

This time, we will introduce the strawberry-filled dessert buffet at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka, featuring a wide variety of cute sweets perfect for adults.

"Strawberry Dessert Buffet - Fairies' Holiday" at "ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka" (Hakata Station, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Fukuoka is located in front of Hakata Station in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, about a 5-minute walk from JR Hakata Station. There is a parking lot, so it is convenient for those traveling by car (free for up to 3 hours if you use the restaurant).

The "Strawberry Dessert Buffet - Fairies' Holiday" will start at "Crowne Cafe" on the first floor from January 7, 2024.

Approximately 30 kinds of strawberry sweets and 10 kinds of savory dishes will be lined up at the venue!

The strawberry dessert buffet is hugely popular every year. This year's theme was "Fairies' Holiday," and I wondered what that meant, but when I saw the display, I understood!

It's filled with greenery and flowers, like a "fairy world." The sweets, brightly colored in pink and red, really stand out. There were even sweets with flower and fairy motifs. Everywhere is cute, and it's fun to take photos.

Perhaps understanding the feelings of such customers, entry is permitted 10 minutes before the buffet starts, and time is set aside for photography (14:50-15:00). I was able to take photos of the beautifully preserved sweets without any worries.

The event will be held on limited days until Monday, April 29th, 2024 (national holiday). In January, it will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, in February on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays, and in March and April on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and national holidays.

The tour is 90 minutes long and runs from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. Prices are 5,000 yen for adults, 2,500 yen for elementary school students, 900 yen for 4-6 year olds (preschoolers), and free for 0-3 year olds.

The main dessert changes every two months

The dessert buffet at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka is characterized by changing the main dessert menu every two months. The Strawberry Dessert Buffet is available until April, so you can come back and enjoy a different main dessert!

This time, I will introduce the main sweets that will be available until the end of February. Among the several types available, I will introduce my recommendations.

This is the "Butterfly Fairy Cupcake," a cupcake made with plenty of Amaou powder and decorated with white chocolate wings. Not only is it delicious, but it's also so cute to look at!

"Mascarpone and Elderflower Marinade" is sweet and sour strawberries marinated in mild elderflower syrup. The delicate chocolate container is also lovely.

The one that caught my eye was the gorgeous "Edible Flower Jelly". It had a mild taste and was delicious.

Also available until the end of February is the "Strawberry Lavender Brulee," which has a subtle lavender scent, so be sure to check it out.

Gorgeous and delicious! Strawberry-filled sweets

There are still plenty of strawberry sweets available!

First up is the classic, "Strawberry Shortcake" made with fresh cream from Kyushu.

The Strawberry Chiffon Cake has a spring-like appearance. There is a fairy next to it, and the gentle atmosphere matches the sweets very well, which I thought was very stylish.

The "Strawberry Roll Cake" has a light and sweet cream inside and a sponge that is easy to eat.

I was captivated by the delicate appearance of the Strawberry Mille-feuille served in a glass. The crispy pie crust and custard cream were delicious. I had always worried that mille-feuille would be difficult to eat, even though it was delicious, but I was impressed by how easy it was to eat because it was served in a glass.

When you think of Mont Blanc, chestnut is the most typical flavour, but of course at this buffet it's strawberry.

The "Gâteau au Chocolat" is also topped with plenty of cream and strawberries.

This corner was particularly colorful and eye-catching. Six types of sweets were lined up above the mirror: "Strawberry Macaroons," "Strawberry Ganache," "Strawberry Crunch Chocolate," "Chocolate Eclair," "Strawberry Baumkuchen," and "Mini Canelé Strawberry."

My favorite is the "Mini Canelé Strawberry." It was delicious with a moist and chewy texture.

Speaking of the dessert buffet at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka, the original pancakes made on the spot by the chef are very popular.

You can also make requests, so tell the chef what animal or alphabet you want him to bake! Your kids will definitely be delighted!

A new savory dish with strawberries

Amazingly, strawberries were even used in the savory dishes. It was amazing and a bit over the top in a good way!

Here are some of the 10 varieties that made the biggest impression on me.

The "Strawberry and Spam Balsamic Sushi Roll" was filled with strawberries. I almost exclaimed, "What? Strawberries in a sushi roll?!" When I ate it, I could taste the sweetness of the strawberries, but it wasn't as strange as I thought it would be, and I enjoyed it.

Next up was the "Strawberry Curry." It contained large pieces of fruit, and the texture reminded me of strawberries. The taste was sweet, probably because of the strawberries, and it was nice to have it with naan.

This is "Roast chicken with berry sauce and mashed potatoes." I thought it would be sweet because it was a berry sauce, but it had a sour taste and was a good accent to the juicy chicken. I ate a lot of it in between sweets.

The menu includes sweets and savory dishes that can only be enjoyed here. They were delicious and I was very satisfied. I wasn't able to try the whole menu, so I'd like to go again!
