A great place to bring your kids! A popular yakiniku restaurant with excellent value for money (Kurume City) that also offers great services for children under elementary school age
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.
This time, we will introduce a yakiniku restaurant in Kurume City that is child-friendly.
A great place to bring your kids! A popular yakiniku restaurant loved by locals: Yakiniku Gonanbo (Kurume City)
Yakiniku Gonanbou is located an 8-minute walk from JR Kurume Station, right next to Kurume City Hall.
This restaurant is loved by locals and has a charming, homey atmosphere.
The owner is the fifth of five siblings, which is why he named the restaurant "Gonanbou."
The owner's four children are his signature staff and will greet you with a smile. I even found his business card!
It's a heart-warming shop where you can feel the love the owner has for his children. The back of the card is a stamp card.
The restaurant has private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables,
There are also large tables where large groups can gather and have fun.
There were also private rooms stocked with toys and picture books.
I think it's safe to use even with babies.
I love this child-friendly atmosphere!
The impressive "Gonanbou Loin" is a must-try! Enjoy the popular "Gonanbou Recommended Course"
This time I visited for dinner.
Being a first-timer at Yakiniku Gonanbo, I ordered the Gonanbo Recommended Course (3,500 yen per portion, for two or more people) (the photo shows a two-person portion. This also comes with bibimbap or hiyashi noodles).
The course menu includes small dishes, premium beef tongue, Wagyu beef loin, rump, aitchbone, chicken thigh, pork belly, Wagyu beef striped phallus, salad, rice (free refills), and bibimbap or cold noodles.
I was told that it could be changed if there was something I didn't like, so I had one portion of "Wagyu Shimacho" changed to "sausage."
This is the featured product, "Gonanbou Loin" (bottom half of the photo).
The huge piece of loin makes a big impact!
If you grill it as is, the grill will be hidden and you won't be able to see it.
Of course, you will need to cut it into small pieces with scissors when eating, but the sweet sauce soaks into it and it's absolutely delicious! It's a dish that you should definitely try.
This is "Wagyu Shimacho."
My husband, who tried it, said that it was cut thinly so it was easy to chew.
The children's favorite food, sausages, were grilled to their own liking and they munched them down with gusto.
You can taste many different kinds of meat, such as "Premium Beef Tongue" (photo above), "Pork Belly" (photo on the left), and "Chicken Thigh" (photo on the right), so you'll be very satisfied!
The "rump" (top left) and "ichibone" (top right) are lean meat with a meaty texture. The "rump" seemed a little softer.
There are two types of dipping sauce available: the restaurant's original "soy sauce sauce" and "lemon salt sauce."
We recommend the "soy sauce sauce" for the beef, and the "lemon salt sauce" for the tongue and pork belly!
The salad that comes with the set is a bit unique, with firm yakisoba noodles and fried tempura bits placed on top of lettuce and tomatoes, creating an interesting texture.
It goes well with creamy dressing and is perfect as a palate cleanser.
You can choose between "bibimbap" and "cold noodles" for the final course, but this time I chose "bibimbap". If you order both "cold noodles" and "bibimbap", which one will you get?
This is also quite a large volume.
The kimchi has a mild sour taste and leaves a strong spicy aftertaste.
It's served in a piping hot stone pot, so if you cook it slowly you can enjoy the crispy char that everyone loves.
By the way, udon noodles, fried rice, rice balls, etc. are provided free of charge to children under elementary school age.
They said they would make anything if there were ingredients, so I requested curry and fried rice. They are great at accommodating families with children!
After-meal dessert is also free for children under elementary school age, and everything is catered for.
What's more, the self-service "all-you-can-drink" option at the drink bar (90 minutes, alcohol 2,000 yen, soft drinks 500 yen) can be extended to unlimited time (until closing time) for an additional 500 yen!
This is quite exciting!
The shop owner's child and his daughter quickly became good friends and played together happily.
It's a popular restaurant that fills up on weekends, so we recommend making a reservation.
Please come and satisfy your stomach and your soul♪ (Text by Yuri-chan)
