[Itoshima Lunch] A popular cafe where you can enjoy a spectacular ocean view and delicious Taiwanese cuisine (Imazu, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
This time we will introduce you to a seaside cafe where you can enjoy a beautiful view no matter the season! You can also enjoy Taiwanese cuisine made with ingredients from Itoshima.
MOON MOON MOON CAFE (Imazu, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City) - Enjoy Taiwanese-style gourmet food in the Itoshima area
"MOON MOON MOON CAFE" is located in Imazu, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City. It is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Fukuoka City, in an area close to Itoshima. There is also a large parking lot across the road.
Based on the concept of "Itoshima x Taiwan," this "local Taiwanese cafe" pays homage to the authentic food culture of Taiwan while serving homemade Taiwanese dishes made with ingredients from Itoshima and Kyushu.
There are swings and terrace tables in front of the building where you can relax.
Enjoy the ocean view from the large window all to yourself
There are lots of "moons" in the store! It's very photogenic♪
You can get a panoramic view of the ocean from the large glass windows! If you sit at the counter, you can enjoy the amazing view, as if you have the ocean all to yourself.
The menu is wide and varied, from meals to sweets. In fact, this cafe is one of my favorites and I've visited it many times, and every time I come, new menu items are added, which makes me excited.
Enjoy Taiwanese cuisine made with Itoshima ingredients
This time I had the "Taiwanese Mixed Noodles Taiwan Mazemen" (1,200 yen). For an additional 100 yen, you can add extra coriander.
Add four toppings - cheese, chili oil, mayonnaise, and coriander - and mix thoroughly!
The dish is made with ingredients such as bamboo shoots and spring onions, as well as minced meat seasoned with chili peppers and garlic, and egg yolk. The rich flavor, along with the garlic aroma and spicy kick, will really whet your appetite.
Once you've finished the noodles, you can add the five-grain rice and mix it with the remaining sauce and ingredients to enjoy it a second time, which is a great thing about Taiwanese mixed noodles. Even those who want to eat a lot will be very satisfied with this dish!
Next up is the "Taiwan Xiaolongbao Set" (680 yen). You can enjoy four different kinds of Xiaolongbao at once, which is a great deal.
When you place it on a spoon and break the skin, the soup full of concentrated umami will ooze out. It comes with sauce, but it's delicious even without it.
After the meal, I chose the "Traditional Douhua" (450 yen) from the mini dessert set.
The douhua was just the right size, the gentle sweetness of the syrup was comforting and soothing, and it was filled with plenty of ingredients such as tapioca and a Taiwanese jelly-like sweet called "aiyuzi."
There are also plenty of shops where you can buy original goods
At the entrance, there is a shop selling original MOON MOON MOON CAFE goods, Taiwanese tea, Taiwanese tea utensils, and more.
There is also a take-out corner where you can drop in casually.
"White Peach Oolong Tea" (600 yen) has a fruity white peach aroma and a refreshing oolong tea flavor, making it perfect for after a meal.
The "Moon Moon Moon Dango" (680 yen), in the foreground of the photo, is a beautiful, vibrant yellow and purple rice dumpling made from sweet potato. It is served freshly fried.
The outside is crispy and crunchy, while the inside is chewy and delicious! The sweetness of the sweet potato was so delicious that I was addicted to it.
There is terrace seating at the back right of the store.
You can also go to the beach from here, so it would be nice to relax on the beach after your meal or with some takeout items.
Because of this convenience, it's a great place to stop by even when you're short on time or in the middle of a drive.
Why not spend some quality time at a cafe where time passes slowly? (Text by Hakata Aya.)
