[Kokura Minami Lunch] You won't be able to resist drinking it all! The delicious "spicy noodles" you can enjoy at an izakaya (Kitakyushu City) that are sure to be a repeat purchase
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love ramen and other noodles.
This time, we will introduce some delicious spicy noodles that can be enjoyed at a pub in Yokoshiro Higashimachi, Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City.
Sumibidoriryu, an izakaya where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled local chicken and authentic spicy noodles (Yokodai Higashimachi, Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Sumibidoriryu, an izakaya restaurant, opened on June 2, 2023, located a five-minute drive from Ishida Station on the JR Hitahikosan Line.
This restaurant takes pride in its charcoal-grilled dishes, including the [Grilled Chicken Thigh] (1,500 yen), made with local chicken grilled over charcoal, and its [Spicy Noodles].
Spicy noodles can be enjoyed at lunchtime as well, so I visited for lunch this time.
The restaurant has table seats and counter seats.
It was clean and the atmosphere was friendly for families with children.
Choose your level of spiciness! Exquisite "spicy noodles" made with chicken broth and topped with specially selected charcoal-grilled chicken
Sumibi Keiryu's specialty, spicy noodles, are available in five different levels of spiciness: non-spicy (800 yen), mildly spicy (850 yen), medium spicy (900 yen), very spicy (950 yen), and very spicy (1,200 yen).
You can choose from three types of noodles: Korean noodles, curly noodles, and straight noodles.
First, I ordered the restaurant's recommended "medium spicy" ramen with straight noodles.
The spicy noodles are topped with fluffy eggs and plenty of Chinese chives, and in the middle is the restaurant's proud charcoal-grilled local chicken. It's the best topping you'll ever find.
The fragrant aroma that hits you the moment it's brought to your table gets you excited.
The straight noodles are slightly thin and have a smooth texture that goes down easily.
The amber-colored soup has a clean, refined chicken flavor and a light taste similar to that of tanmen.
The flavor of the soup and charcoal-grilled chicken together is also exceptional. It was an excellent soup that I couldn't help but drink up!
For the kids, we ordered the "non-spicy" version with the recommended Korean noodles.
An original, healthy Korean noodle made from a mixture of various flours based on durum flour.
They say they are also considerate of people with allergies by not adding buckwheat flour.
I was expecting it to be chewy like hiyashi noodles, but it was actually a little softer, and even children had no trouble chewing it.
Although it is "spicy noodles," I personally would wholeheartedly recommend the "non-spicy" version, even to those who don't like spicy food!
The soup base has a well-established flavor, so you don't need to rely on spiciness. It was so delicious that I ended up drinking the whole thing before I knew it.
There is also a new dish called "Spicy Tomato Noodles" (1,250 yen) that combines tomatoes, basil, and cheese. It is said to be available in limited quantities, so if you are interested, hurry up!
I became so addicted to it that I definitely want to eat it again if I go to Kitakyushu.
Everyone, please go and check it out♪ (Text by Yuri-chan)
