The deliciousness is second to none! Strawberry-themed sweets made with super-ripe Amaou strawberries (Hoshino Village, Yame City)

Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.

This time, we will introduce a wonderful shop we found in Hoshinomura, Yame City.

Worth the trip! "Taiyo no Ichigo" (Yame City), a direct sales store for "super ripe Amaou strawberries" grown with care on a private farm in Hoshino Village

Taiyo no Ichigo is located about an hour and 20 minute drive from the center of Fukuoka city, along Prefectural Route 52.

This shop sells directly from the owner, strawberry farmer Yoshitomo Haraguchi, the "super ripe" "Amaou" strawberries that he carefully grows on his own farm in the naturally rich village of Hoshino.

Their specialty is pursuing the state where the deliciousness of strawberries is brought out to the fullest, which is "super ripeness." In order to make sure that delicate super ripe strawberries are eaten in their most delicious state, they do not ship raw strawberries, but only sell them directly. In other words, you can only buy them here!

They opened a direct sales store in Kurume City in 2011 and moved to Hoshinomura in 2020. In addition to selling freshly picked strawberries in packs (from December to April), you can also enjoy a wide variety of strawberry sweets.

There are adorable strawberry balloons hanging from the ceiling of the eat-in space...♡

There is a stove installed inside the store, which overlooks the rice fields, so it's warm even in winter.

Enjoy it all year round! Amaou-infused sweets "Yobimoeshi Strawberry Milk on the Soft"

This time I ordered the milk flavored "Yobimosai Strawberry Milk on the Soft" (844 yen/photo on the right) and yogurt flavored (863 yen/photo on the left).

The shop's popular "Yobimoeshi Strawberry Milk" is topped with "Amaou Soft Serve" and "Amaou Sauce" to create an "eat and drink" Amaou-infused dessert. The more you mix it, the more the flavor of the ripe Amaou strawberries "comes back."

The restaurant's original "Amaou sauce" is poured right in front of you and prepared for you.

This "Amaou Sauce" is absolutely delicious! It is made simply from sugar and super-ripe Amaou strawberries, but the balance of sweetness and sourness is just perfect.

The manager's recommended way to eat it is to eat the top soft serve first, then mix in the bottom strawberry milk. It seems to taste better if you eat the soft serve and milk separately, rather than mixing them all together right from the start.

The "Strawberry Milk" section at the bottom contains frozen strawberries topped with milk or yogurt, and if you mix it well it tastes like a smoothie.

If you like sweet things, we recommend milk, and if you want a refreshing sour taste, we recommend yogurt.

By the way, this "Yobimoeshi Strawberry Milk on the Soft" is made using super-ripe Amaou strawberries that are harvested during the season and frozen, so you can enjoy it all year round.

The kids also praised it, saying, "It's so delicious!"

The sweets menu is quite extensive, with around 20 different items including all-season and limited-time menu items!

There are several types of "Amaou Sauce" used as toppings, and the owner selects the best sauce for each item.

By the way, the "Sun Sauce" made from super-ripe Amaou strawberries (sold in stores for 2,080 yen for 410g) can be purchased online.

It seems that the sauce contains a higher proportion of strawberries than the "Yobimosai Strawberry Milk on the Soft Serve" that I had this time.

It will also be very useful for making sweets at home.

Products made with gyokuro tea grown on the family farm are also very popular.

The "Sun Strawberry Cheese Pie" (348 yen) is also a popular souvenir.
