This time, we will introduce Christmas dinner at the coveted resort hotel, THE LUIGANS Spa & Resort.

THE LUIGANS Spa & Resort is located in the national park, Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park, about 20 minutes by car from the center of Fukuoka city.

A free shuttle bus runs from "HEARTS Bus Station Hakata," and the area is also convenient for getting around without a car: it's a 6-minute walk from Uminonakamichi Station on the JR Kashii Line, a 2-minute walk from the Nishitetsu bus stop "Marine World Uminonakamichi," and a 1-minute walk after disembarking from the Uminaka Line high-speed ferry "Uminonakamichi Pier."

At this time of year, many people look forward to Luigans' Christmas dinner every year.

The dates and times for 2023 will be from 5pm onwards from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th December. Two courses are available: the "LUIGANS Course" (6 dishes, 9,000 yen per person) and the "Chef's Special Course" (8 dishes, 13,000 yen per person), and not only are the course contents different, but the venues are also different. *Both courses require prior reservations (same-day reservations are also available if there are vacancies) *A service charge (10%) will be charged separately *Preschool children are not allowed at the Chef's Special Course venue.

Both courses are the result of more than two months of trial and error by the entire staff, led by Luigans' talented chef.

This time, we will introduce the contents of the "LUIGANS Course" (6 dishes, 9,000 yen per person) that can be enjoyed in the main dining area "The Lounge on the Water", which overlooks the pool where the lights of the Christmas tree sparkle. It can be enjoyed not only by a loved one, but also by the whole family.

"LUIGANS Course" Christmas dinner that can be enjoyed by two or families

[Appetizer] Marinated Salmon with Seasonal Vegetables

The first dish to be served is the appetizer "Marinated Salmon with Seasonal Vegetables Insalata."

It uses salmon from Kyushu and is served with olive sauce and salmon roe.

The sauce was carefully designed to be delicious and to go with any type of fish, and it brings out the flavor of the tender and fresh salmon.

Seasonal vegetables such as two types of carrots and colorful radishes are beautiful and perfect for Christmas!

[Hot Appetizer] Beef cheek and ravioli with sage-flavored butter sauce

The second dish is a hot appetizer: beef cheeks and ravioli with sage-flavored butter sauce.

The ravioli is stuffed with potatoes and several kinds of mushrooms, and flavored with truffle oil.
Additionally, truffles are shaved on top, making this a luxurious dish that fills your mouth with the rich flavor of truffles when you bite into it.

The beef cheek meat is so tender it almost falls apart, and the flavor of the meat is intertwined with the elegant sauce that uses a lot of tomatoes.

Although it had a strong flavor, it was finished with a lightness befitting a hot appetizer.

The third dish is Pasta's "Fresh Tomato Pomodoro Pasta Fresca."

The red and green Christmas colors will make you excited from the moment it is delivered!

The noodles used are "Mocchirini" from Awaji Noodles in Hyogo Prefecture.

The chewy yet crisp noodles go perfectly with the soft and mellow "Stracciatella" cheese.

This pasta dish was made with a concentrated sweet and savory tomato sauce and had a refreshing basil flavor that left an aftertaste.

The fourth dish is a fish dish called "Grilled tilefish with scales and citrus risotto."

The tilefish is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It has an amazing texture.

The mellow lemon-flavored sauce further enhances the flavor of the sweet snapper.

A layer of baked risotto is placed underneath the tilefish, allowing you to enjoy a different texture with every bite.

[Meat] Roasted Wagyu Beef Sirloin with Vincotto Sauce

The main dish is the meat dish "Roasted Wagyu Beef Sirloin with Vincotto Sauce."

The tender and juicy Hakata wagyu beef is served with cauliflower sauce and fig vincotto sauce, creating a beautiful dish with Christmas colors.

The sauce, which makes the most of the flavor of each ingredient, adds an accent to the umami of the Hakata Wagyu beef.

The elegant flavor makes you happy every time you take a bite. Even after I got home, I remembered how delicious it was.

[Dessert] Amaou strawberries from Fukuoka Prefecture and roasted pistachio gelato

For dessert, we had "Fukuoka Amaou strawberry and roasted pistachio gelato," presented like a Christmas tree.

The pistachio-flavored meringue is topped with gold dust, making it very gorgeous!

Under the crispy meringue was a rich pistachio gelato and plenty of Amaou strawberries! It was an irresistible combination, the perfect way to end a Christmas dinner.

In addition to the Champagne and wine "2 Glass Set" (2,400 yen) and "3 Glass Set" (3,400 yen), there are alcoholic drinks starting from 1,000 yen and non-alcoholic drinks starting from 600 yen.
