Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who introduces cafes in Fukuoka on Instagram.

This time, we will introduce sweets shops that are perfect for gifts or snacks.

Reopening from Hakozaki! Scone and baked goods shop "micca" (Nagazumi, Minami Ward, Fukuoka City)

Micca, a popular scone and baked goods shop, was operating out of a rented space in Hakozaki, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City.

On November 16, 2023, we opened our long-awaited permanent store in Nagazumi, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. It is a takeout specialty store.

It is open three days a week, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, hence the name "micca" (although it is occasionally open on Saturdays).

When you enter the store, you'll be greeted by the delicious aroma of baked goods.

On the day I visited, there were about 15 kinds of sweets on sale, including scones and baked goods.

Crispy and delicious scones

The sweets at "micca" are made with carefully selected ingredients, with an emphasis on using locally produced products as much as possible.

No preservatives are used and the sugar content is low.

I would like to introduce all the products in detail, but this time I would like to introduce four scones.

It's crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. You can eat it as is, or rebake it at home to make it even more crispy and fluffy.

Milk scone (220 yen)

A classic menu item that uses plenty of milk.

It's delicious to eat as is, but we also recommend adding clotted cream or jam to your taste.

Chocolate chunk scone (350 yen)

A scone filled with large chunks of chocolate.

You can taste the chocolate wherever you bite into it, making it an irresistible treat for chocolate lovers.

Pumpkin scone (270 yen)

Scones made with pumpkin kneaded into the dough.

A little bit of cinnamon was a nice accent.

Scone sandwich with chestnut paste (350 yen)

Scones filled with plenty of filling made from seasonal chestnuts.

I was very satisfied with the natural sweetness of the chestnuts.

Perfect with scones! Fruit jam

"Ukiha Fig Jam," made using plenty of figs grown in Ukiha City, was also on sale.

There are two sizes: small (440 yen) and large (770 yen).

It was not too sweet, and when dipped in scones it brought out the best in both.
