"Yakiniku no Ryuen Kokura Main Branch" is located in Kajicho, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City, about a 3-minute walk from Kitakyushu Monorail Heiwadori Station, in front of "Mori Ogai's Former Residence." This popular restaurant is celebrating its 34th year this year.

In addition to the flagship store in Kokura, they also have a store in Nishinakasu, Fukuoka city, and are planning to open a store in Taiwan within the year.

The bronze statue of a cow in front of the store is the landmark of the Kokura main store.

Yakiniku Ryuen has been expanding its takeout menu since the coronavirus outbreak.

The curry meat is also luxuriously made from 100% Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu beef! It's a little spicy, but the sweetness of the meat blends in to make it very rich and delicious.

The steak was tender and full of flavor! The garlic chips added a nice accent.

This is "THE STEAK SAND" (150g - 1,200 yen, 300g - 2,200 yen). The photo shows the 300g sandwich, which comes in a set of two.

A generous amount of beef hang steak is sandwiched between milk-rich bread from SHUN PAN LABO, a popular Kokura bakery.

The meat is super tender! It goes perfectly with the homemade steak sauce and honey mustard. The bread is also super tasty, and you'll finish it in no time.

I'm happy that I can now easily enjoy the taste of Ryuen's meat at home! Both dishes were very satisfying, with plenty of impact and volume.

This time I ordered take-out, but the lunch served in the restaurant is also very popular.

There are a whopping 20 different lunch options available only on weekdays!

The popular yakiniku lunch "Hanagogo Gozen" allows you to enjoy a little bit of each cut of beef. You can choose from three types: "Hana" (2,400 yen) made with Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu beef, "Miyabi" (3,600 yen) made with "Chikuho beef," said to be the oldest brand of beef in Fukuoka, and "Kiwame" (4,800 yen) made with Kyushu A5 Kuroge Wagyu beef.
