Cakes, baked goods, and coffee! "Great for gifts" A new and popular store that's sure to be a hot topic (Yoshizuka, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)
Hello♪ I'm chippachapus and I love going to cafes.
This time, we will introduce "SAISON DES RÉCOLTES", which opened on September 2, 2023!
Popular coffee shop "REC COFFEE" is also located on the premises! New patisserie brand "SAISON DES RÉCOLTES" is born (Yoshizuka, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City)
"SAISON DES RÉCOLTES" is located in Yoshizuka, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.
This is a new patisserie brand from Rec Collective Co., Ltd., the company behind REC COFFEE, a specialty coffee shop with five stores in Fukuoka, two in Tokyo, and two in Taiwan that roasts its own coffee.
The building has a warm white theme. Looking from the front, on the left is "REC COFFEE Hakata Roastery" and on the right is "SAISON DES RÉCOLTES."
Both shops specialize in takeout, but you can also enjoy baked goods and coffee on the benches in front of the store.
"SAISON DES RÉCOLTES" is a combination of the French words "SAISON" (four seasons) and "RÉCOLTES" (harvest), and means "harvest season."
All of the cakes and baked goods on display in the store are carefully crafted by the pastry chefs themselves.
They use seasonal ingredients to create dishes that taste just right for you.
I can't decide which one to choose ♡ Cakes lined up in the showcase
There were about 10 kinds of cakes lined up in the display case. They all looked delicious, and I was captivated by them.
You can also order whole cakes.
I will introduce the cakes that I actually ate.
This is the "Shortcake" (520 yen) made with seasonal fruits. On this occasion, Fukuoka Prefecture's brand of figs, "Toyomitsuhime," were used generously in both the cream and topping.
The fluffy sponge cake was topped with a sweet cream and the crunchy texture of the figs.
This is "Pistachio Miserables" (600 yen).
This cake is sandwiched with butter cream made from Iranian pistachios and accented with mousseline and cherries soaked in liqueur.
The pistachio buttercream is combined with custard, giving it a smooth taste with a soft pistachio flavor.
The cherries soaked in liquor added a nice accent and gave it a slightly more mature flavor.
This is "Gâteau au Chocolat" (470 yen).
The dough is full of rich chocolate flavour and is flavoured with espresso to add body.
The moist and smooth dough is irresistible with the deep flavor of the chocolate, accented by the slight bitterness of the espresso.
This is the "Rice Flour Basque Cheesecake" (510 yen).
This flourless Basque cheesecake is made with a blend of two types of cream cheese.
The cheese had a strong sourness and a gentle sweetness. It was very smooth and had a light texture.
This is the "Kyushu Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc" (630 yen).
A luxurious Mont Blanc made with plenty of Japanese chestnuts from Kyushu.
There is a whole Japanese chestnut hidden inside. The rich Mont Blanc cream goes perfectly with the fresh cream.
This is the "Cookie Cream Puff" (350 yen).
The cookie dough is filled with a rich, fragrant cream made from vanilla beans from Madagascar and Ajinomoto eggs.
The crispy crust and overflowing cream were luxurious.
The crispy and fluffy texture of freshly baked goods is irresistible ♡ "Baked goods" are perfect as souvenirs or gifts
Baked goods are available both freshly baked and individually wrapped. This time, we will introduce freshly baked goods!
There were six varieties on this day.
This is the "Rock Cake" (290 yen).
A crunchy and crumbly British pastry with cardamom and cinnamon. Filled with chunks of raisins, it was a luxurious baked good that was like a scone and a cake.
This is "Wild Rose Honey Madeleine" (290 yen).
Made with Asakura-produced "Wild Rose Honey", these madeleines are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The aroma and sweetness of the honey was wonderful.
This is "Tarte Ardèche" (350 yen).
This tart is made with chestnuts from Kumamoto Prefecture and is recommended for chestnut lovers. It also contains pear, so you can enjoy the fragrant chestnuts and nuts along with the fruity taste of the pear.
This is "Financier" (290 yen).
It had a crispy exterior and the aroma and flavor of cultured butter spread the moment you bite into it, making it very delicious.
This is the "Cranberry Scone" (290 yen).
The dough is made with wheat flour from France and is kneaded with plenty of cranberries. It has a soft and crumbly texture. The sweetness of the dough spreads with every bite, making it a simple yet addictively delicious treat.
This is a "Canelé" (290 yen).
Made with plenty of mellow Dillon rum and vanilla, the outside is crispy and the inside is soft and chewy. The canelé has a gentle milky sweetness along with the rum flavor.
Enjoy the home-roasted coffee from "REC COFFEE Hakata Roastery" with your sweet treats
To accompany your cakes and baked goods, enjoy a cup of coffee at "REC COFFEE Hakata Roastery" next door.
All of the coffee at REC COFFEE is roasted in-house, and the delicious aroma of coffee beans fills the air inside the store.
For "Hand Drip Coffee" (R540 yen, L640 yen), the staff will help you choose from 14 different types of beans to suit your taste.
They will brew each cup carefully.
This time, I chose the "Hakata Blend" and the "Kissa Blend."
The "Hakata Blend" had a good balance of sourness and sweetness, while the "Kissa Blend" had a rich, deep flavor.
They also sell beans, so you can enjoy delicious coffee at home.
