This time, we will introduce the limited-time menu of a popular donut specialty store from Fukuoka that will be expanding into the Kanto region this summer.
"ROOTH" is a popular donut specialty store from Omuta, Fukuoka.
ROOTH is a specialty store that sells 5cm diameter donuts with colorful coatings.
Currently, there are three stores in Fukuoka Prefecture, including the flagship store "ROOTH2-3-3" in Omuta City, "by ROOTH" in Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City, and "ROOTH FUKUOKA" in Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. There is also one store, "ROOTH SAGA" in Miyaki District, Saga Prefecture, for a total of four stores in Kyushu. And this August, they are expanding into the Kanto region! The fifth store is scheduled to open in the Makuhari New City area of Chiba City, making this a popular store.

The interior of the store is designed to resemble an art museum. I've been there several times since it opened in March 2022, but it seems like my impression has changed somehow.

The mangoes used are from Okinawa Mango Farm Mangolan, which has twice won the Excellence Award at the Okinawa Mango Contest hosted by Okinawa Prefecture. Let me introduce them to you right away.

"KING" (600 yen) is an exquisite combination of sweet mango, pineapple, banana, the moderate acidity of coconut, and a refreshing lime sauce for an added accent.

The mango sauce that comes with it is an original combination of fresh cream and white chocolate, with a rich, milky sweetness that is irresistible.
By the way, the two varieties of Mango's "ROOTH SEASONAL" are also sold in "ROOTH2-3-3" and "ROOTH SAGA."
Summer only! "Cool sweets" using donut coating sauce
In addition, the "cool summer sweets" that were very popular last year, "ROOTH ORIGINAL Shaved Ice" (450 yen each), will be available again this year! It will be available for a limited time until the end of September (planned).

This is the cute, vivid ruby-colored "Devil's Raspberry." The sweet and sour, rich flavor of raspberry is accented with fruity kirsch (a type of cherry brandy). This shaved ice has an addictive taste.
