A seasonal feature of summer! Somen noodle nagashi and yamame fishing at Shiraito Falls, a fun experience for both children and adults (Itoshima City)

It is also famous as one of Fukuoka's most famous power spots, and is a fascinating place that can be enjoyed all year round.

When you get close to the waterfall, you can feel the negative ions throughout your body, and it feels like your mind is being purified.

This time, we went to Shiraito Falls to experience somen noodle nagashi and yamame trout fishing, perfect for a summer holiday outing.

A specialty of Shiraito Falls! Enjoy the summer with the very popular Somen Nagashi!

At Shiraito Falls, you can enjoy nagashi somen noodles for a limited time only from April 29th to September 30th.

"Nagashi Somen" costs 600 yen per person and comes with a set including noodle soup, green onions, wasabi, and disposable chopsticks.

Especially during the summer holidays, the parking lot fills up quickly and traffic jams can form, so we recommend going early. Advance reservations and bringing in food and drinks are not allowed.

Once you have checked in at the restaurant "Fureainosato Shiki no Chaya," the somen nagashi process begins!

You can also enjoy fishing for yamame trout from April 29th to November 30th (※Currently, there are no yamame trout in stock, and the next stock is scheduled for early July).

For 2,500 yen you can catch up to four fish, but even if you don't catch any, you're guaranteed to get three back, so even beginners can enjoy it with peace of mind!

The rental fee includes all necessary equipment, such as fishing rods, so you can come empty-handed and enjoy the experience.

This is also a very popular activity, so we recommend going in the morning.

This was our first attempt at yamame fishing, so we didn't think it would be that easy, but perhaps...!?

It was my first time seeing a live fish, and all I could do was stare (laughs).

The caught yamame trout is grilled with salt.

Any yamame trout you catch will be grilled with salt for 150 yen per fish, and you can eat them on the spot.

The crispy grilled surface and soft, fluffy meat are irresistible ♡

Surrounded by clear water and greenery, grilled salted yamame trout eaten under the blue sky is the best!

The skin is crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy. Because it's skewered, you can bite into it heartily, which is one of the best parts of the dish.
