The May limited menu is the talk of the town! A popular cafe where you can enjoy exquisite parfaits and afternoon tea (Nishijin, Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City)

This time, we will introduce a wonderful cafe located in Nishijin, Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City.

Stong Cafe Nishijin Branch, a specialty coffee shop located in Nakanishi Shopping Street (Nishijin, Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City)

Stong Cafe Nishijin Branch is located in Nakanishi Shopping Arcade, about a 4-minute walk from Nishijin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway. It is a specialty coffee shop that opened on April 22, 2022.

Unlike the main store in Meinohama, this is a hideaway-like space with a relaxing atmosphere.

The counter seats are also equipped with electrical outlets, making them perfect for when you want to do a little work.

The toilets are equipped with baby seats, so even those with small children can use them with peace of mind.

In addition to the coffee, the cafe is also popular for its light meals and sweets, such as pasta. The monthly changing sweets are a particular hit.

Only available at the Nishijin store! "Afternoon Tea Set" can be ordered for one person

The limited menu "Afternoon Tea Set" (2,000 yen) is only available at "Stong Cafe Nishijin Branch."

This set includes seven types of sweets, including limited-time menu items (changing monthly), and a drink (additional drinks are an additional 300 yen).

Another nice thing is that you can order from just one person.

The limited edition sweet available in May 2023 is "Matcha".

The top shelf is lined with "Matcha ice cream and warabi mochi," "Matcha mille crepes," "homemade pudding," and "Matcha macarons."

I was surprised at the volume of each individual piece, but the overall sweetness was exquisitely calculated, making it enjoyable until the last bite.

The "homemade pudding", which is popular among regular customers, is now available in a limited edition version with matcha powder sprinkled on top!

It's slightly firm. The moment you put it in your mouth, the flavor of eggs and milk spreads. The refined sweetness is irresistible.

Matcha Mille Crepes

The "Matcha Mille Crepe" has a fun texture when cut into pieces.

The balance between the luxurious bitterness of the matcha and the soft and fluffy dough and cream is exquisite. It's an addictive taste.

The mild matcha flavoured ice cream and the soft, melt-in-your-mouth warabimochi go perfectly together!

Matcha Macaroons

"Matcha Macaroons" use matcha in the dough and cream. The bitter taste is irresistible for matcha lovers. The crispy yet moist texture is also very pleasant.

The bottom tier features three types of cake: Basque Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Earl Grey Chiffon Cake.

The first time I tried tiramisu I was hooked.

"Earl Grey Chiffon Cake" captures all the gentle flavor of black tea.

The fluffy sponge and sweet cream go perfectly together!

Choose your set drink

The Afternoon Tea Set comes with one drink.

Drinks include "Hand-drip coffee (HOT)," "Iced coffee," "Tea (Darjeeling or Earl Grey)," "Lemon squash," "Mango juice," and "Caffe latte (+50 yen)."

This time I ordered "hand drip coffee" and "cafe latte."

The "Hand Drip Coffee" is made with "House Blend," which has a good balance of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

A medium roast blend with flavors of nuts and sweet chocolate.

Limited until the end of May! "Matcha and Sakura 3-Color Dango Parfait"

One thing to look forward to every month at Stong Cafe is the limited edition parfait that changes every month.

In May, the Nishijin store will be serving the "Matcha and Sakura Three-Color Dango Parfait" (1,200 yen), which is inspired by three-color dango. This was a very popular menu item offered in April at the Meinohama store.

The top is topped with cherry blossom ice cream, bean paste, warabi mochi, and a pretzel, a baked confectionery that originated in Germany.

The glass is filled with plenty of ingredients such as matcha ice cream, granola, cream, and shiratama.

The cherry-colored flakes are feuilletines, made by thinly rolling out crepe batter, baking it, and then crushing it into small pieces.

Every time I take a bite, I feel so happy!

The homemade matcha agar at the bottom makes the last bite taste even more refreshing.

By the way, at the Meinohama store, you can enjoy the "Melon and Honey Yogurt Parfait" (1,200 yen) in May.
