[Within walking distance of Hakata Station] Filled with fresh cream from Hokkaido! "Also great as a gift" "Tsubaki Cake" with a fluffy texture

Hello♪ I'm chippachapus and I love going to cafes.

This time, we will introduce you to a shop selling "Hottocake," a cake that originated in Hokkaido, located about a 7-minute walk from JR Hakata Station (Hakata Exit)!

The only place in Kyushu! Hokkaido-based pancake specialty store "Tsubaki Salon Hakata Branch" (Hakata Station, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

Tsubaki Salon Hakata is located on the first floor of EN HOTEL Hakata in front of Hakata Station in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.

This hotcake specialty store originated in Hokkaido and is the only one in Kyushu. You can enjoy fluffy hotcakes.

The fizzy and creamy texture is irresistible ♡ "Hotto Cake" made with carefully selected ingredients from Hokkaido

Tsubaki Salon's "Hotcakes" are made with simple ingredients, like the pancakes your mother used to make for you as a child, and each one is carefully made.

The dough is made using 100% ingredients from Hokkaido, such as wheat, eggs, and sugar beet, and is mixed with plenty of meringue. Another great thing about it is that it contains no food additives.

The mixed batter is poured onto the hot plate in three batches.

You can see the food being grilled through the glass. *This time, we were given special permission to take photos up close.

Bake slowly and carefully for a few minutes and it's done!

You can tell just by looking at it how fluffy it is. This is apparently because it rises solely due to the meringue.

This is "Hokkaido Hotcake Premium" (1,760 yen).

The two-layered hot cake is topped with a generous amount of Hokkaido fresh cream, and is served with cheese, sugar beet molasses, Hokkaido butter, and Tokachi red beans.

The moment you eat it, you can taste the texture that melts in your mouth and also the slightly gooey texture.

The gentle milk flavor of the fresh cream on top went perfectly with the batter and was very delicious.

We recommend first enjoying the simple flavor of the dough without adding anything, and then changing the flavor halfway through by adding the beet syrup that comes separately.

The ever-popular "Hokkaido Hot Cake" is gorgeously combined with seasonal ingredients and plenty of fresh cream from Hokkaido!

Let me introduce them one by one.

The "Strawberry" flavor uses Amaou strawberries, and the sweet and sour taste of the strawberries adds an accent to the milky cream.

The hotcake is also sandwiched between strawberries and fresh cream. It was so delicious it almost felt like eating a shortcake.

"Choco Banana" is a sandwich of slightly bitter homemade chocolate sauce and chopped bananas on top, with bananas and fresh cream in between.

The sweetness of the banana went perfectly with the slightly bitter chocolate.

Mont Blanc is topped with chestnut cream, fresh cream, sweet chestnuts, and bitter chestnuts, with fresh cream and sweet chestnuts sandwiched in between.

The chestnut cream has a subtle sweetness and a slightly mature taste. You can directly enjoy the texture and sweetness of the chestnuts, so if you like chestnuts, you should definitely try this.

"Berry Berry" is piled high with sweet blueberries on top.

The cream in between the two strawberries also contained chunks of Amaou strawberries, allowing me to fully enjoy their sweet and sour taste.
