"햅삐카페 HAPPY CAFE*" is a Korean takeaway cafe located about a 10-minute walk from Nishitetsu Kurume Station. It's in a shopping street lined with small shops.

The name of the cafe, "HAPPY CAFE*," comes from "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," which celebrates the birthday of your favorite idol, which is one of the activities of supporting your idol, and also from the desire to make the cafe a place where customers who come can smile.

Made with butter cheese cream for a flavor that's perfect for an absent birthday party, this "birthday cake" is a must-have!

"Senil cake" is something you often hear these days. The Korean word "Senil" means "birthday" in Japanese.

More and more people are holding "birthday parties without their favorite idol" with cutely arranged "birthday cakes" made in the colors of their favorite member or with a message.

There are many Korean restaurants in Kurume, but there were no K-POP cafes that held events for fans or birthdays, or stores where you could buy birthday cakes, so we opened "HAPPY CAFE*" with the hope that there would be a place in Kurume where people could enjoy their favorite idols. "Birthday cakes" come in a variety of sizes, but the one that's currently all the rage is the "Toshiraku cake," which comes in a small lunch box.

At this shop, you can have your sponge cake sandwiched and coated with your choice of colored butter cheese cream, with prices starting from 2,500 yen. For an additional fee (starting from 100 yen), you can also customize your cake by making the sponge chocolate flavored or topping it with Oreos or fruit.

Reservations can be made by 3:00 p.m. the day before the pick-up date via Instagram DM, phone call, or in-store.

This evolved version of the currently popular "Toshiraku Cake" even comes with a mirror!

At "HAPPY CAFE*", you can order an "evolved" version of the "Toshiraku Cake". The cake is topped with a round "mirror"! It's called the "Mirror Cake" (from 3,000 yen).

There are many ways to enjoy this, but a simple one is to stick a picture of your favorite idol on the inside of your lunchbox lid and reflect the picture in the mirror.

What's more, since you can take selfies with it, it's also gaining attention as a "selfie cake."

In addition to the "Toshiraku Cake," the mirror cake can also be made in sizes up to 10cm and 15cm. It is also possible to add text to the mirror surface, but please note that if you add fruit to the Toshiraku Cake, you cannot add text.
