If you don't know, you're missing out! YesMart's "Shopping Strategy"
If you're visiting for the first time, you'll likely be overwhelmed by the sheer number of products on offer.
The recommended way to shop at YesMart Fukuoka is to walk around the store once to check out the whole thing, then go around again to put the items you actually want to buy in your cart. There are a lot of products, and new ones are added frequently, so it's best to first get an overall view of the store before putting the items you want to buy in your cart.
Another feature is that products are displayed on short shelves rather than the long shelves used in Japanese convenience stores and supermarkets.

Apparently the different areas are laid out so that people can move freely between them.
From here, we will introduce some recommended products.
If you're unsure, buy it! YesMart's "Fail-proof Korean Cuisine"
"Seafood salted fish Jokgal (젓갈)" is the perfect accompaniment for rice.

The salted fish sold at YesMart comes in a variety of types, including chanja, squid, octopus, scallops, and flounder, and comes in a wide range of sizes, from 100g packs to large packs containing a generous 500g. We recommend purchasing the 100g pack first to try it out!
The photo above shows the classic salted squid "Ika Chanja" (100g for 440 yen). It tastes even better when you add sesame oil and seaweed to it.
"Ogam Tteokbokki" can be easily prepared in the microwave

The manager of the store says that "Ogam Tteokbokki" (280g, 583 yen) tastes the same as the tteokbokki sold in front of Korean schools that I ate when I was an elementary school student. To cook, just heat it in a 700W microwave for 3 minutes without opening the container.
The overall flavor is sweet, but the spiciness of the chili peppers really adds an accent. It's a recommended dish that's easy to eat and has plenty of sauce.

Rare products too! YesMart's recommended "In-bag noodles"
Recommended by the gourmet assistant manager! "Song's Cheolmyeon" is a must-try for those who like spicy food.

"Song's Jolmyeon" (2 servings for 449 yen) is a highly praised product, even by the assistant manager, who is picky about taste, who said, "It reminds me of the jolmyeon I had in Korea, so I eat it frequently." "Jolmyeon" is a noodle dish that is casually eaten at "bunsikjik" (a snack restaurant that sells tteokbokki and other dishes) in Korea.
The noodles are firm and chewy. The sweet and sour sauce has a refreshing spiciness to it. When eating, we recommend adding plenty of vegetables to your taste.
A Korean lunch staple! The chewy noodles will become your addictive "Ippin Jajangmyeon"

Image: Suzu
"Ippin Jajangmyeon" (151 yen) is an instant version of the Korean lunch staple "Jajangmyeon" that you can easily enjoy.
This is the instant noodle recommended by the manager. The reason for its recommendation is that "the sauce in Ippin Jajangmyeon is not the typical powder type, so you can enjoy the aroma of the open flame, like the Jajangmyeon sauce you get at Chinese restaurants in Korea."

Already a classic! "Two kinds of cheese hot dogs" with stretchy cheese

Image: Suzu
"Mozzarella Cheese Hot Dog" is a corn dog with stretchy cheese inside. The manager's top recommendation is the "Two Kinds of Cheese Hot Dog" (3 pieces for 645 yen) from a company called "Pulmuone (Asahiko)."
It contains two types of cheese, mozzarella and cheddar. It's also nice that each one is individually wrapped! It's easy to cook, just heat it up in the microwave.
Easy and satisfying meal! "Korean Food: Microwave-style Beef Bone Gomtang"

Gukbap means "soup (kuk/국)" and "rice (bap/밥)". In Korea, people often put rice in soup and eat it. You can easily enjoy this kind of gukbap with the "Bibigo" "Korean Food Microwave Gukbap" series.
Among the ready-made products sold at "YesMart Fukuoka Store," the "Kanhan Microwave Cooked Beef Bone Gomtang" (357 yen) is a particularly popular product. According to the store manager, the reason for its popularity is that it allows you to enjoy Gomtang, which is a time-consuming dish, easily and deliciously!
