~You'll love Fukuoka even more~
We send out information from Fukuoka every day that will make you say,"Yeah, that's right!"
Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.
Wouldn't you like to try the delicious dishes made by a chef who trained at a fishmonger and honed his skills in a Japanese restaurant?
However, many people feel that stores with artisans on-hand are too expensive and difficult to visit. For those of you who feel this way, we would like to introduce some stores where you can enjoy artisanal craftsmanship at reasonable prices.
"Oyasai Kenkyusho" (Takamiya, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City) where you can enjoy a variety of delicacies made with seasonal ingredients
Well, today I went to Oyasai Kenkyusho in Takamiya, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City.
The first floor is a greengrocer, where they sell very cheap vegetables.
Now, let's head to the restaurant on the second floor. There is a menu at the entrance, and the fish dishes are the best recommendation.
The entire restaurant has sunken kotatsu tables, allowing you to relax and unwind.
The entire restaurant is equipped with sunken kotatsu tables, allowing you to relax at your leisure.
If you lower the blinds, you can create a partition between your seat and the other seats, allowing you to dine at a more leisurely pace.
Tables can be joined together, making it possible for small groups to use the restaurant (please check with the restaurant for details).
We were shown to a comfortable seat, perfect for a date night or a meal with friends. We sat down and immediately checked out the menu.
The cute handwritten menu of recommended dishes is placed on the table. I had thought this was a serious restaurant, so this familiarity made me smile.
The drink menu, including sake, seems to change depending on the season.
This time, I ordered the restaurant's recommended "Sesame Mackerel Sashimi Platter" (1,180 yen per person), "Mackerel Mixed Rice" (880 yen), and "Kenkyusho Salad" (780 yen).
Now, let me introduce the dishes.
First, the "Kenkyusho Salad" was brought out.
Isn't it so beautiful?
It has a pretty pink appearance, but the dressing is apparently made from cherry blossom petals. I have no idea what it's going to taste like.
This dressing is so delicious.
You'll be amazed by this, it definitely smells of cherry blossoms, but it's actually a proper dressing.
It has a nice salty taste and the aroma of cherry blossoms. When you eat it with vegetables, the flavor of the vegetables really comes out. It's nice that it's filled with a variety of vegetables.
And next, this one had a really impressive visual impact.
I opened it anxiously, wondering what it was, and found three tiers of plates stacked on top of each other.
All three tiers contain sashimi, and on each tier there is fish that has been carefully prepared.
You can tell how fresh sashimi is by its fat, but this moist luster is not just a glossy appearance achieved by spraying water on it to disguise the freshness of the fish. It is proof of its genuine freshness.
This is the second tier. Beautiful sashimi is lined up. The one that excited me the most is the one on the left in the photo. This is...
It's "conger eel sashimi."
I had the prejudice that conger eel is inedible unless it is parboiled or lightly cooked to remove the unpleasant odor, so I was shocked when it was served as sashimi.
And the third layer. As you can see, it is a sesame sauce made with black sesame seeds. It was my first time seeing black sesame seeds.
Don't you think it's great value to be able to eat such a luxurious array of sashimi for less than 1,200 yen?
And to finish off, we have "Mackerel Mixed Rice".
You can eat it normally at first, then add the broth later and eat it like ochazuke...
What is this comforting taste?
The aroma of the fish broth spreads all at once, and it will permeate your body even more after drinking alcohol.
I don't think there are many izakayas where the food is this good. Every restaurant has some things that seem a little off, but here everything is delicious.
