A must-see if you're visiting Dazaifu!
We'd like to introduce you to a new and exciting store that opened today, November 29th, 2025.
Tenzan Dazaifu Pudding Shop (Dazaifu City), a new brand created by a popular Japanese confectionery shop
Tenzan Dazaifu Pudding Shop is located about a one-minute walk from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station, in the former location of the Nishi-Nippon City Bank Dazaifu Branch's automatic foreign currency exchange machine.
As the name suggests, this is a new brand created by Tenzan, a Japanese confectionery shop on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine that sells products such as the extremely popular Onigawara Monaka, a snack that is perfect for eating on the go.

Their signature product, pudding, is a product they are confident in, with the recipe repeatedly tested to create a smooth pudding that melts in your mouth the moment you put it in your mouth.
They use only ingredients from Fukuoka Prefecture, including Nagatoshi Milk from the local Dazaifu city, Meisui Eggs from Kojiro no Sato in Kama city, and high-quality domestic fresh cream. Furthermore, they fine-tune the recipe to suit the temperature and humidity, and each one is handmade to ensure an uncompromisingly smooth texture.
You can enjoy a wide range of flavors by combining Japanese ingredients such as Fukuoka's famous tea, Yame tea, and Tenzan's signature bean paste, as well as carefully selected seasonal fruits.

In addition to their special puddings, they also offer soft serve ice cream and fruit parfaits that combine pudding and soft serve ice cream.
