Day use OK! The swimming pool and beach are now open at "Kyukamura Shikanoshima" (Katsuma, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)

The resort hotel "Kyukamura Shikanoshima" located on Shikanoshima Island in Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City, will open its pool and beach from July 12th! This is available to guests staying overnight, but day use is also available.

Easy for small children to play in! The pool is divided into two areas so you can play while looking out at the ocean.

Speaking of the pool at Kyukamura Shikanoshima, you can enjoy swimming while looking out at the ocean, and its just the right size is also an attractive feature.

The cute "Cloud-shaped Pool" is a popular spot for families, offering a panoramic view of the beach. It is divided into a children's area with a depth of 30cm and a general area with a depth of 100cm, and the children's area even has a slide. Small children can safely enjoy playing in the water.

The opening period is from Saturday, July 12th to Sunday, August 31st, 2025 (excluding Monday, July 14th to Friday, July 18th), and opening hours are 10:00-17:00 (last admission at 16:30).

Day use is 650 yen for adults and 450 yen for children (3 years and over). Accommodation is reasonably priced at 350 yen for adults and 250 yen for children (3 years and over).

Right next to the hotel! Swimming in the crystal clear sea

Near the hotel, there is an 800m long white sand beach facing the Genkai Sea. You can enjoy swimming to your heart's content in this beautiful sea, which boasts some of the clearest waters in Fukuoka Prefecture.

The Hama Shop, which sells shaved ice and food, will be open for a limited time from July 12th (Sat) to August 17th (Sun) 2025 (excluding July 14th (Mon) to July 18th (Fri)).

A hidden gem! Experience a star-filled sky right next to the city

This area is also worth seeing for its dynamic sunset over the Genkai Sea. Furthermore, Shikanoshima Island is a hidden gem where you can see the stars clearly, even though it is located in Fukuoka City.

After having fun, be sure to take in the starry sky of Shikanoshima.

Although you can enjoy the things we've introduced so far on a day trip, if you stay overnight you'll enjoy reasonable pool fees, the ability to leave your luggage at the hotel front desk when you go to swim at the beach, and the opportunity to participate in free guided stargazing sessions (held all year round).

Kyukamura Shikanoshima is also known for its only hot spring on the island and ocean views from all rooms.
