[All rooms introduced] From saunas to rooms perfect for girls' get-togethers! A unique "family bath" opens (Chikushino City)
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
My personal favorite is the hot spring facility "Chikushinoyu" in Chikushino City.Click here for the previous article)。
In December 2023, Chikushi no Yu opened a new family bath. There are six unique types of baths, including rooms with solo saunas, rooms for families, and rooms for girls' parties. This time, we will introduce all of the rooms!
A spot where you can enjoy leisure and bathing all day long! "Chikushinoyu" (Chikushino City)
"Chikushinoyu" is located in Chikushi, Chikushino City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It is about a 40-minute drive from Fukuoka city.
Located inside a facility called "Chikushino Sports Land," it offers a variety of activities, including hot spring baths, bowling, batting, and even the popular "Sky Net" athletic facility on social media. It's perfect for families to have fun all day!
Introducing all six "family baths" that opened in December 2023!
This time, we were given special permission to tour all six of the family baths, so we would like to introduce them to you one by one!
Business hours are 10:00-25:00 (last entry at 24:00). Advance reservations can be made by phone, or you can come directly to the store to use the facility.
Silky Bath
The white-themed "Silky Bath" (2,900 yen for 60 minutes, 1,500 yen for 30-minute extensions, recommended for 4 people)
You can soak in milky white water that feels silky to the touch, with super-fine bubbles (microbubbles) enveloping your entire body. The microbubbles will massage and cleanse your skin, leaving it silky smooth after the bath!
The rest area is spacious, so you can take turns taking a bath or relax afterwards.
All rooms have TVs so kids can watch YouTube and other content!
Hinoki Bath
"Hinoki no Yu" is filled with a Japanese atmosphere (2,900 yen for 60 minutes / 1,500 yen for 30-minute extensions, recommended for 4 people). When you think of baths, you think of "hinoki" (cypress).
The rest area is not as spacious as "Silky no Yu," but there are two washing areas and the bathtub is large, making it convenient for families with small children.
To bring out the hinoki scent even more, they float hinoki balls in the hot water.
Good luck bath
The golden-toned "Kaiun no Yu" bath (2,400 yen for 60 minutes, 1,500 yen for 30-minute extensions, recommended for 3 people) is a "golden space" named after Miyajidake Shrine.
The left side of the bathtub in the photo below is a reclining bath.
The tiles are made of Mino ware, and attention to detail is evident.
Even the wallpaper in the bathroom is gold! It's a luxurious space that seems to bring good luck. It's also good for boosting your spirits for exams.
San Diego Blue
This is San Diego Blue (2,400 yen for 60 minutes, 1,500 yen for every 30 minutes extension, recommended number of people: 3).
The bathtub has refreshing blue tiles.
The baths change every day of the week. The "Yuzu scented bath" on Tuesdays and the "Mikan scented bath" on Thursdays change monthly to suit the season.
We tried out the family baths "Solo Sauna King" and "Mist Sauna Queen"!
Solo Sauna King
This time I used the "Solo Sauna King" (3,900 yen for 90 minutes, 1,500 yen for 30-minute extensions, recommended for 3 people).
This room is also very popular with men. It comes with a dry sauna and a cold bath, so you can use it just like a private sauna.
The bath uses Chikushi no Yu's proud natural water, which is soft and smooth on the skin.
This is the long-awaited sauna room. The sauna stove is not designed for loyly, so be careful not to pour water on it.
You can enjoy the color and scent of brand new wood, and feel the brightness outside through the large glass window in front of you.
It's a spacious enough space for two adults to fit comfortably in. I'm very satisfied with the size of this solo sauna!
The cold water bath is deep enough that you can quickly cool down your body after the sauna. It is also spacious enough for two people to enter at the same time!
The soft quality of the water was especially noticeable in this cold water bath. It was a very pleasant experience to have my body slowly cooled by the gentle water on my skin.
The sauna room has a 90-minute time limit, which is longer than the other family baths, so we were able to enjoy the three sets at our leisure, including the time to get ready. There are also chairs in the changing room!
Mist Sauna Queen
Next, we went to "Mist Sauna Queen" (3,900 yen for 90 minutes, 1,500 yen for 30-minute extensions, recommended for 3 people). The interior is pink with tweed-like wallpaper.
When I looked through the door leading to the bathroom, I saw a claw-foot bathtub like the ones you see in movies, and I couldn't help but get excited.
This sauna is an aromatic "mist sauna." I love saunas and have been to many, but this is my first time in a private mist sauna!
The walls of the sauna room are decorated with stylish tiles called "Nagoya Mosaic."
There was lavender in the sauna room, so the steam and the scent of lavender helped me relax both my body and mind.
Although the temperature is lower than a dry sauna, the generous amount of mist will slowly warm your body.
The shower head and hair dryer are from Refa, so your hair will be perfectly styled after your bath.
Check out our newly launched lunch menu!
For meals, we went to Donchantei, a restaurant inside Chikushi no Yu that has an attractive menu with a wide variety of options.
The menu is constantly being updated, and recently a new "Lunch Only Selectable Menu" (980 yen) has been launched. Between 11:00 and 16:00, you can choose from the pasta and rice bowl menu.
By the way, a set of bathing and a meal costs 1,490 yen. The bathing fee on weekends and holidays is 890 yen, so if you buy the set, you save 410 yen! In the future, they are also considering a special deal that includes a family bath.
This is the "Golden Carbonara." Lunch comes with salad and "Mentaiko French Bread (half)" from "Fukutaro."
The carbonara is topped with "Harada's Special Eggs" raised in Chikushino City. The rich flavor is evident from the firm color of the yolk. It makes the creamy carbonara even smoother, and the accent of black pepper was absolutely delicious!
There was also a campaign where if you completed all six family baths, you could enter the family bath of your choice once for free (please contact Chikushi no Yu for details).
Why not come and spend some private time with your family or friends? (Text by Aya Hakata.)
