A hot spring that flows directly from the source, so you can always enjoy the first bath! "The Japanese Black Beef lunch is also excellent" A popular private hot spring worth going out of your way to visit (Kumamoto City)
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.
My family often goes to Kumamoto for day trips or overnight stays.
This time, I'd like to introduce some of my recent favorite day-trip hot spring facilities.
It's about an hour and a half from central Fukuoka city on the highway, so it's also recommended for a day trip.
Always the first bath! Family bath and private hot spring facility "Onsentei Yu-an" (Kumamoto City)
Approximately 10 minutes by car from Ueki IC on the Kyushu Expressway.
Onsentei Yuan is a hot spring facility with private family baths, located in the tranquil rural scenery of Uekimachi, Kita-ku, Kumamoto City.

When you arrive, first check in at the front desk.

There are a total of 17 private and family baths with a wide variety of options, including a special room for two people with one half open-air bath and a Japanese-style changing room with a TV, a room with two baths (indoor and outdoor), and a room with one half open-air bath! (Five of these rooms have indoor baths.)

All the rooms are so attractive that it's hard to choose, and you'll want to try them all. No matter which room you choose, we recommend making a reservation as the facilities are popular.

On weekdays from 10:00 to 21:00 (10:00 to 18:00 from November to February), there is a "single person bathing service" where the bathing fee for all rooms is half price if you use it alone! It is a luxury to be able to relax in the hot spring all to yourself.
*Excluding long holidays such as New Year's, Obon, and Golden Week

Our family used number 5, "Aise no Yu" (3,600 yen for 60 minutes/no limit), which is suitable for families and has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a changing room with tatami mats.
*Extension is 300 yen per 10 minutes

The appeal of this bath is that it uses natural hot spring water and is based on the concept of "always the first bath," with the water being replaced for each customer.
Even in Kumamoto, where there are said to be many family baths, it is rare to find a facility that changes the water so thoroughly.
I arrived just as they were filling up the bathtub. The indoor bath is made of Shigaraki ware.

The outdoor bath was a hollowed-out Chinese stone bathtub.

The source of the spring is a sodium bicarbonate spring. It has little of the distinctive sulfur smell and a gentle pH value, making it a popular spring quality known as a "beauty bath" and "skin-beautifying bath."
The viscous hot spring water made my skin smooth and silky.
You can add water as you like to adjust the temperature, so the kids really enjoyed themselves. They even had fun swimming in it.

Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided at the washing area.

The changing rooms are equipped with electric fans, hairdryers, and air conditioning (coin-operated, fee required).

Towels can be purchased at the shop, but we recommend bringing your own if you need them. If you have a baby, you can also rent a baby bath chair.
You can also just come for a meal! Enjoy the "Waraku Luxury Lunch" where you can enjoy their famous Inaniwa udon and Kumamoto Kuroge Wagyu beef ♡
After refreshing in the hot spring, head to the restaurant "Seasonal Cuisine and Inaniwa Udon Waraku" on the second floor.

In addition to table seats,

There are also private tatami rooms that are convenient for families with children.

This time, I ordered the "Kumamoto Kuroge Wagyu A5 Sirloin Warm Inaniwa Udon and Mini A5 Sirloin Bowl Set" (3,850 yen), which is only available for lunch (11:30-15:00 *Last orders at 14:30). *The photo shows a serving for two people.

An exquisite set made with plenty of A5-ranked Kumamoto Kuroge Wagyu beef! The set includes warm Inaniwa udon noodles with sirloin, a mini sirloin bowl, salad, a small side dish, a soft-boiled egg, and pickles.
The meat is trimmed of excess fat, marinated in our original all-purpose seasoning "Miracle Sauce," and cooked at low temperature for about eight hours. By serving it rare, you can enjoy the sweetness of the high-quality marbled meat and the melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Akita's specialty, Inaniwa udon, is not very familiar in Kyushu, but it is one of Japan's three great types of udon.
It is characterized by its thin, slightly chewy noodles.

According to the owner, the key to its selection was that it not only goes perfectly with our soup stock, but also boils quickly so we can serve it to our guests right after they leave the hot springs. What a thoughtful gesture!
Under the large piece of meat in the soup are lots of mushrooms (shimeji and enoki).

If you quickly dip the noodles in the soup and eat them, they have a smooth texture and a refreshing feeling down your throat!

The aroma of shredded yuzu followed afterwards, and it was truly a blissful moment.
The meat in the "Mini A5 Sirloin Bowl" is lightly seared, giving it an exceptional aroma!

Once you mix the soft-boiled egg with the "Miracle Sauce", you'll be able to eat rice endlessly.

Image: Yurichan
You can also put soft-boiled eggs on udon noodles!

The small dishes served that day were the visually stunning "Mulukhiya Jelly" and "fig and Muscat Tossed with Shiraae."

Image: Yurichan
The salad was packed with vegetables, including baby leaves, water eggplant that can be eaten raw, and cucumbers that were cut into heart and star shapes during the growing process. The carrot dressing had a refreshing taste.

Image: Yurichan
It's also delicious when you add the shop's original seasoning, "Miracle Dashi Vinegar." The gentle acidity and aroma of the dashi fill your mouth.

Image: Yurichan
I highly recommend the original all-purpose seasonings "Miracle Sauce" (896 yen) and "Miracle Dashi Vinegar" (896 yen) because they were so delicious! You can buy them as souvenirs, so be sure to check them out!

"Miracle Inaniwa Udon" (1,080 yen) was also on sale.

Spending some time relaxing and unwinding is the perfect way to reward yourself for all your hard work.
