[Fukuoka Morning] A luxurious morning buffet where you can enjoy both seafood and meat (Nakasu, Hakata Ward)
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce you to hotels where you can enjoy an extremely filling buffet right from the morning, and it would not be an exaggeration to call them "hotels for eating breakfast."
You can also just use the breakfast buffet, which is open from 7am, so you can enjoy a luxurious time before work, as well as on your days off.
[Editor's note, May 13, 2024] Due to overwhelming success, the facility is currently closed to the public except for guests staying at the hotel.
Excellent access to Tenjin and Hakata! "The BREAKFAST HOTEL Fukuoka Nakasu" (Nakasu, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)
The BREAKFAST HOTEL Fukuoka Nakasu, whose name alone raises expectations for the breakfast, is located along the Hakata River, across from the Kawabatadori Shopping Arcade.
It is a 2-minute walk from Exit 4 of Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the Subway Airport Line or Hakozaki Line. By subway, it is about 2 minutes to Tenjin Station and about 4 minutes to Hakata Station, making it an excellent location.
The breakfast buffet offers a luxurious menu with a focus on Japanese cuisine
The breakfast buffet is available to guests, but is also open to the public (you may not be able to use it without a reservation). The hours are 7:00-7:45, 7:45-8:30, 8:30-9:15, and 9:15-10:00 (last meal served at 9:50). The cost is 2,000 yen per person (free for children under elementary school age).
The buffet venue is lined with an array of mainly Japanese dishes.
When you think of a hotel breakfast menu, you might imagine bacon, fried eggs, boiled sausages, and porridge, but as far as the eye can see, there are no standard menu items.
The menu not only provides an explanation of the dishes, but also lists allergens, giving you peace of mind.
There were also many menu items using ingredients from Fukuoka and Kyushu, such as "Hakata specialty Chikuzenni," "Chicken Nanban," "Itoshima eggs and Itoshima soy sauce pouches," and "Seasonal fish bone stew" simmered in Hakata soy sauce.
There is also a section with colorful and fresh vegetables!
In addition to Fukuoka Prefecture's Hakata Toyomitsuhime flavored tea, barley tea, fresh orange juice, apple juice, there is also a coffee server and a wide variety of drinks are available.
The above information is already quite luxurious, but that's not all! We will now introduce in detail the must-try dishes that you should not miss if you are having breakfast here.
A truly impactful and luxurious seafood bowl that spills over the top
The first notable menu item is the extremely impressive "Extremely Overflowing Luxury Seafood Bowl."
Simply pour as much vinegared rice as you like into the wooden measuring box and hand it to a staff member, who will then top it off with freshly caught seafood delivered directly from the source.
The seafood that didn't fit on top of the rice has spilled onto the saucer...!
Finally, top it with as much shirasu and flying fish roe as you like to complete the "Extremely Overflowing Luxury Seafood Bowl." Top it off with "Kamikyu Soy Sauce," a well-established soy sauce maker that represents Fukuoka, and a sesame sauce that goes well with sashimi.
The freshness of the seafood and the luxury you wouldn't expect for breakfast! The vinegared rice, made with black vinegar, has a mild and gentle flavor that goes perfectly with seafood.
Of course, since it's a buffet, you can have as many refills as you like.
The meat overflows from the bowl! "Sakitare Pork Bowl made with Fukuoka Prefecture's brand pork"
The meat to go with seafood! The second must-try menu item is the "Sakurabara Pork Bowl made with Fukuoka Prefecture's branded pork," which is piled high with meat that overflows from the bowl.
The pork belly, eggs, and soy sauce are sourced from Itoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The fragrantly grilled pork belly "Zero ONE Pork" is served like flower petals, making for a beautiful appearance! You can adjust the amount of rice to your liking, so you can enjoy both the seafood bowl and the pork bowl.
Best before date: 100 seconds! "Exquisite 100-second French toast, served with rich cream and homemade seasonal fruit sauce"
The third featured menu item is the specialty "Exquisite 100-second French Toast, served with rich cream and homemade seasonal fruit sauce."
It is made to order, so it has a crispy outside and a soft and fluffy texture inside. The quality is beyond imagination, so much so that you would never doubt that it was served at a specialty store.
It's said that it tastes best within 100 seconds of being made, so we recommend ordering it just before you want to eat it.
The menu was filled with carefully selected items, and I found myself wanting to try this and that...I ended up being greedy!
Breakfast gives you energy for the day! By the way, "The BREAKFAST HOTEL" has two locations, one in Fukuoka Nakasu, one in Fukuoka Tenjin, and one in Ishigakijima, Okinawa, and you can enjoy breakfast buffets that make the most of the unique features of each location. Be sure to visit. (Text by Hakata Aya.)
