Staying in a giant sphere!? The hot topic "Staying in Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park" arrives in Kyushu for the first time at "In the Park Fukuoka"

~You'll love Fukuoka even more~
We send out information from Fukuoka every day that will make you say,"Yeah, that's right!"

Hello♪ I'm chippachapus and I love going to cafes and trying new things.

This time, we had the opportunity to stay at INN THE PARK Fukuoka, which opens on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, so we'd like to share the details with you!

INN THE PARK, a popular "park where you can stay overnight" in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, has opened in Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park! (Saitozaki, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)

INN THE PARK Fukuoka is an all-in-one accommodation and experience facility with the concept of a "park where you can stay overnight," combining the three elements of accommodation, dining, and experiential activities. It is located in the center of the "Light and Wind Plaza" of the national park "Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park," which will be reopened on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

This is the second facility of "INN THE PARK Numazu," which opened in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture in September 2017. This is the first in Kyushu.

This complex consists of four types of accommodation, including the "giant spherical tent" that caused a huge sensation in Numazu City, as well as restaurants, hot spring facilities, a barbecue area, and a lounge.

In addition, various ideas have been implemented to suit the area known as Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park.

It's like another world! A huge "spherical tent" with a diameter of 6 meters

This time, I stayed in INN THE PARK's famous "spherical tent," a gigantic tent with a diameter of six meters and a height roughly the same as a two-story building.

There are 13 buildings in total, and they look like works of art scattered around the park.

The room keys were cutely hung on a small tree branch.

Once inside, it's like a different world! The simple yet stylish design kept me excited from start to finish. It was a space that gave me a sense of the extraordinary.

There are two spacious 120cm wide beds, and it can accommodate up to four adults.

You can spend some relaxing time here with your partner, family or friends.

There are also tables and chairs so you can relax and chat.

There is also a small window that offers a panoramic view of the outside.

The spherical tents illuminated by the setting sun are also beautiful, so be sure to check them out.

The glowing lights at night were also fantastic and beautiful.

In addition to the spherical tents, there is also "glamping" (12 in total), which consists of two tents inside a 17-meter diameter tarp, "cabins" (3 in total) for couples or individuals, and "suite rooms" (1 building, 2 rooms in total) with a bath.

Enjoy a picnic mood with the extensive take-out menu.

The restaurant in the center building is a facility that offers different concepts and uses for day and night, allowing you to enjoy it in completely different ways depending on the time of day.

For lunch, the concept is a "park cafeteria" that anyone can easily use.

At the attached coffee stand, you can enjoy authentic coffee supervised by "LittleNap COFFEE STAND" in Yoyogi, Tokyo.

The menu offers familiar dishes such as curry and sandwiches.

Take-out is also available, so you can eat it anywhere in the park.

You can also get takeaway breakfast, so it feels like a little picnic!

When I stayed there, the breakfast was a Cuban sandwich.

The crispy French bread was topped with plenty of sauce and toppings and was delicious.

For dinner, enjoy a course meal made with plenty of local ingredients.

At night, the “Park Cafeteria” transforms into a French restaurant.

The plan I chose this time was "Breakfast and Dinner (Restaurant)," which included a course meal based on French cuisine at the restaurant. The menu uses plenty of Kyushu ingredients, such as fresh fish from nearby areas and meat and vegetables from Fukuoka, and the menu changes depending on the season.

The first appetizer was brought to us in a wooden box.

Appetizers

On the bottom shelf there are three types of drinks: carrot, ginger and orange smoothie, pate de campagne, and scallops and Akanishi shellfish with tartar sauce.

The next dish was "Consomme Royale (cold Western-style chawanmushi)," which was accented with the unique flavor of truffles and sliced almonds.

The top two tiers contain rye bread and herb salad.

After the appetizer, we had a fish dish with amberjack as the main dish at this time of year. The amberjack was grilled with shiso powder and topped with hazelnut puree and foie gras. The savory flavor was very good.

Next is the main meat dish, "wood-grilled Japanese black beef," served with a generous layer of barley miso sauce.

The meat tasted even more delicious when eaten with the cabbage puree and sauce that came with it.

The final dessert is tiramisu, with a thick texture and bittersweet flavor accented by the sweet and sour taste of strawberries.

The interior of the restaurant has a casual atmosphere, but at dusk it becomes a bit more sophisticated, making it perfect for special occasions.

In addition to the seaside hot spring facilities, there are also contents unique to the music city of Fukuoka!

The Light and Wind Plaza faces Hakata Bay, so you can enjoy ocean views right from your room.

From here, we will introduce some noteworthy facilities and experiential activities other than accommodation and restaurants.

Hot spring facilities

In the seaside area, there is an open-air bathing facility. All rooms except the suite rooms do not have baths, so you will need to use this facility.

The space is modeled after a public bathhouse and also comes equipped with a cold bath and outdoor space.

You can take a bath anytime between 5pm and midnight and between 6am and 9am.

Lounge

Directly in front of you as you exit the restaurant is the lounge, where you can spend some time relaxing.

The most eye-catching thing is the rows of records. They have been selected to match the surrounding environment and the season, and you can listen to them freely on the dedicated player.

campfire

At night, a "campfire" is held. It's the kind of time you'd want to take a break and relax with a hot drink in hand.

In addition, the Light and Wind Plaza area is equipped with a giant athletic tower and stables where you can enjoy horse trekking. You can also enjoy a variety of activities together with INN THE PARK Fukuoka, such as cruising at the adjacent marina, and the zoo, aquarium, and pool within the park.
