A popular Tokyo restaurant in Fukuoka! Great value with all-you-can-eat and drink options! Gyoza Sakaba (Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce Gyoza Sakaba, which opened in Kyushu for the first time in February 2025.
Great value for money: Kyushu's first izakaya, "Gyoza Sakaba Niku-jiru Totsan Kokura Branch" (Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Gyoza Sakaba Niku-Jiru Totsuan Kokura Branch opened in Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City, a 3-minute walk from JR Kokura Station.
This hugely popular izakaya restaurant in Tokyo has now opened in the Kitakyushu area!

The restaurant is four stories tall and currently only the first and second floors are open, but around April the third and fourth floors will open as fully private spaces.
The first floor has table seating and private rooms.

On the second floor, all the seats are private and have sunken kotatsu tables, so you can relax and unwind.

The appeal of "Gyoza Sakaba Niku-jiru Totsuan" is that you can enjoy a wide variety of izakaya menu items at casual prices. The average price for a la carte dishes such as gyoza, teppanyaki, seafood, and desserts seems to be around 500 to 600 yen. I've already been there twice, and both days it was packed...!
Drinks are also surprisingly cheap, with great deals such as "Suntory Highball" (109 yen), draft beer "The Malt's" (329 yen), and "Lemon Sour" (319 yen)!
You can enjoy 2 hours of all-you-can-drink starting from 1,078 yen.
There is also an "almost all-you-can-eat and drink" course! Introducing the featured menu
This time we ordered individual items, but there is also an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course for almost all the dishes and drinks at the restaurant (3,500 yen per person, 120 minutes for seating, 75 minutes last order for food, 90 minutes last order for drinks). There are also special deals such as "early bird" and "late bird" that are only available by reservation, so be sure to check them out.
Now let me introduce the menu we ordered.
Drinkable Tsukune (included in the all-you-can-eat plan)
One of the signature dishes is the "Drinkable Tsukune" (352 yen each).
You can choose from sauce, cheese, green onion salt, pickled plum, or grated ponzu sauce, and if you want the Tsukimi version it costs an additional 100 yen.

As the name suggests, the meatballs were soft and melt-in-your-mouth.
Fried chicken (included in the all-you-can-eat menu)
You can choose from six different seasonings for the "Fried Chicken" (539 yen): sauce, salt, honey mustard, yangnyeom, green onion salt, and cheese.
This time I chose the salted version. They were deep fried and crispy, and I could eat as many as I wanted!

Totsuan's Drinkable Gyoza (included in the all-you-can-eat plan)
"Totsuan's Drinkable Gyoza" (3 pieces for 219 yen, 6 pieces for 418 yen, 10 pieces for 660 yen) are large and each piece is huge, and when you pick them up with chopsticks you can feel their weight and volume!

There are "gyoza sauce", "miso sauce", "vinegar", "pepper" and "rayu" on the table, so you can enjoy changing the flavor.

In addition, there are about 12 types of gyoza available (all included in the all-you-can-eat option).
There were a variety of menu items available, such as "Cheese Gyoza" and "Plum Gyoza," but this time I ordered the "Salted Gyoza with Green Onion" (3 pieces for 308 yen, 6 pieces for 528 yen, 10 pieces for 748 yen).
It was topped with plenty of green onion salt and was very satisfying. It was delicious.

Overflowing Mapo Tofu (included in the all-you-can-eat plan)
The "Overflowing Mapo Tofu" (715 yen) overflows from the bowl and is very filling!
It's full of flavor and pairs perfectly with our signature gyoza dumplings, so be sure to order them together!

Salmon Yukhoe (included in the all-you-can-eat plan; limit of 1 per table)
"Salmon Yukhoe" (693 yen) is a dish consisting of egg yolk served on a base of salmon and cherry tomatoes.
When you crack the egg and mix it, the mellow egg yolk that coats the salmon is irresistible.

Pickled Tomatoes (included in the all-you-can-eat plan)
"Gari Tomato" (319 yen) is a dish of plenty of tomatoes topped with pickled ginger and shiso.
The taste was even more exquisite than I had imagined, and I couldn't stop eating!

Deep fried radish (included in all-you-can-eat menu)
The "Fried Daikon Radish" (605 yen) is a dish where the delicious flavor of daikon radish oozes out from the crispy batter.
It was so delicious that the plate was emptied in no time!

The items introduced below are not included in the all-you-can-eat menu.
Shrimp mayonnaise (not included in the all-you-can-eat menu)
The crispy and lightly fried "Ebimayo" (715 yen) is smothered in a mellow mayonnaise. It goes without saying that it goes perfectly with the shrimp.

Legendary liver and chives (not included in the all-you-can-eat menu)
The "Legendary Liver and Chive" (748 yen) is a menu item that is limited to 10 servings per day.
A generous amount of liver and chives are served on top of the bean sprouts.

Just add the special sauce, heat it up and it's done! It's a nutritious dish that you can enjoy hot.

Frozen fruit drinks too!
There is a wide variety of drinks on the menu, but the one I particularly liked was the "Gorogoro Mix Sour" (583 yen).
It was filled with lots of frozen fruits such as strawberries, pineapples, and mangoes.
There were also other drinks with a single fruit, such as "Gorogoro Pineapple Sour" and "Whole Sliced Lemon Sour" (583 yen each)♪

The menu is packed with great value and you'll want to come back again and again! Please do drop by. (Text by CHIHIRO)
