Perfect as a gift! Exquisite cakes and baked goods! Feel the nature at Mori Cafe (Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)

Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.

This time, we will introduce a wonderful cafe surrounded by greenery that will have its grand opening on March 8, 2025 in the Adachi foothills area of Kitakyushu.

Opening in March 2025! "Mori no Cafe Plain", a cafe and sweets shop surrounded by rich nature (Kotobukiyama-cho, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City)

About 15 minutes by car from JR Kokura Station. "Forest Cafe Plain" opened in "Adachi Park". There is a free parking lot, so it is convenient to go by car.

With the theme of "feeling nature," this cafe was renovated from the dining hall of the Adachi Youth Center, which will be used as a city facility until September 2024.

The interior of the store is spacious and you can feel the warmth of wood.

Outside the window, there are lush green trees and beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons.

Of course there are comfortable sofa seats and table seats, but there are also these cute table seats!

We also recommend the terrace seats on sunny days. Another great thing about this restaurant is that pets are allowed.

First, order at the counter! Baked goods are lined up on the left, and cakes and other items are displayed in the display case on the right.

This time, I couldn't decide so I went for two cakes and a drink.

Strawberry pure cream shortcake

First of all, there is the must-have "Strawberry Pure Fresh Cream Shortcake" (638 yen).

I was happy to see that it was topped with a generous amount of strawberries ♡ The fresh cream was light and not too sweet. It went very well with the fluffy sponge and was delicious!

Creamy chiffon cake

After much deliberation between the "Organic Chocolate Cake" and the "Komeko Chiffon Cake with Plenty of Fresh Cream" (572 yen), I went with my intuition and decided on the latter.

This was also incredibly delicious and I was impressed. When I removed the plastic wrap, it was so voluminous that it tilted under the weight of the cream...!

The chiffon cake dough is very fine and fluffy.

The cream was light and not too sweet, yet still satisfying.

It's become such a favorite that you'll want to order it again right away! This item will be available all year round.

Speciality Coffee

Drinks available included coffee, tea, juice, etc., but this time I ordered the "Specialty Coffee" (638 yen).

High quality beans roasted darkly. Rich aroma and a taste that lets you feel the sweetness of the beans themselves. Goes well with sweets!
