Some people even come to Fukuoka just for this cafe! The dessert plate from this popular shop (Yakuin area)

Hello. I'm Honosuke and I love spending time alone in stylish cafes!

This time, we will introduce a popular cafe located in Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

From homemade meals and snacks made with carefully selected ingredients to books and miscellaneous goods that will brighten your life! "Kurashikoto: A Store for Meals, Snacks, and Miscellaneous Goods" (Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

Kurasukoto, a food, snack and general goods store, is located along Prefectural Route 31, about an 8-minute walk from both Hirao Station and Yakuin Station on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line.

The store houses a cafe, a select shop selling household goods and clothing, a gallery, and a bookstore all in the same building.

Look for the white sign in front of the building!

Light pours in through the many windows, creating a natural, bright and simple space that is warm and inviting.

The display case in front of the register is lined with the popular "Fluffy Cream Donuts." There are five varieties, and they are available for takeout.

A specially crafted donut made with dough kneaded with high water content and filled with plenty of homemade cream.

I ordered the "Custard" (410 yen / eat-in 460 yen) and the "Lemon Cream" (430 yen / eat-in 480 yen) to take away and enjoyed them at home, and my family loved them, saying, "Even though they're deep-fried, they're not heavy and you'll want to eat as much as you want."

Both meals and snacks are appealing! Check out the standard menu

Now let me introduce you to the cafe menu.

First, snacks. The menu includes "Pudding" (530 yen) made with Murayama milk from Karatsu, Saga, sweetened with sugar beet, "Banana Cake" (500 yen) with a moist dough fragrant with banana and spices, and the previously introduced "Fluffy Cream Donut" (380-480 yen). There are so many of my favorite things on the menu that I'm excited just looking at it♪

If you order pudding or donuts, please also order one drink.

The "Kurashi Snack Set" (1,450 yen) is a popular menu item that includes a pudding, a fluffy cream donut (custard), and a drink.

We also recommend the "Pudding a la Mode" (970 yen / 1,350 yen with drink), which has an irresistible retro feel. The condensed milk that comes with it is homemade, simmered in a pot for 3 to 4 hours.

The "Seasonal Sweets Plate" comes with a drink and costs 1,830 yen for three types of sweets or 1,630 yen for two types.

Next is the meal menu and the children's menu.

"Kurashi no Curry" (1,210 yen) is a tomato-based bean curry that brings out the sweetness and richness of the flavor, and is served with plenty of vegetable side dishes.

The "Children's Plate" (660 yen) is a balanced plate of hamburger steak with a side dish of vegetables. It comes with a small rice ball and is just the right amount for children up to the early elementary school age.

Everything looks so delicious! I was tempted, but I decided to have the "Seasonal Sweets Plate" this time, so I'll have to look forward to the meal next time...♡

Tasting the "Sweets Plate" which changes with the season

I ordered the "Seasonal Sweets Plate with 3 Types of Drink" (1,830 yen). *End date of the winter version is yet to be determined.

It was a gorgeous dessert plate consisting of three types of desserts: "Kurashigoto Pudding", "Freshly baked shortcake", and "Gâteau au Chocolat or Cheesecake". I chose the "Cheesecake".

The classic snack at "Kurashikoto" is the "Pudding", which has a smooth texture and the delicious taste of eggs, giving it a nostalgic taste.

The cheesecake was moist and had an exquisite balance of just the right amount of acidity and the gentle sweetness of the raw sugar.

And finally, something I have always wanted to try: freshly made shortcake, which is made to order!

The combination of the moist sponge soaked in syrup and the creamy fresh cream is irresistible ♡ The sweet and sour strawberries sandwiched inside also add a nice touch. Ahh... happiness!!

I chose "hot tea" as my drink. Because it was served in a pot, I was able to enjoy about three cups. Thanks to the cute pot cover, it stayed hot until the very end.

The view of greenery from the window is soothing. I just stared blankly out the window without thinking about anything. It was the most luxurious time.

You can also have fun visiting bookstores, miscellaneous goods stores, and galleries!

In one corner of the same floor is a bookstore called Hontosha, which has about 3,000 books lined up in a 30-square-meter space.

They not only sell new books, but also second-hand books and books that are not available in general circulation.

On the third floor, there is a select shop selling household goods and clothing,

There is Gallery Grapefruit Juice, which hosts a variety of exhibitions, special exhibitions, workshops, and more.

If you visit the cafe, be sure to try this as well!

We all enjoyed reading while eating snacks, chatting, etc., and everyone was spending peaceful time in the same space, which felt very comfortable.
