This time, we will introduce a popular vegetable buffet restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from the Chikushi exit of JR Hakata Station.

Enjoy Kyushu vegetable dishes to your heart's content! Farmers Restaurant Hanaya has been renovated into a buffet style restaurant (Hakata Station East, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

The popular Western restaurant "Western Restaurant Hanaya" will be renovated on February 7, 2025. It will be reborn as the buffet-style "Farmers Restaurant Hanaya."

The location is near Fukuoka City Katakasa Elementary School.

The interior has a warm wooden feel and there are tables that seat 2 to 4 people.

The menu includes the "60-minute buffet only" (1,280 yen), which is an all-you-can-eat option using dishes made with fresh vegetables delivered directly from farmers, as well as a rich "set meal" menu that adds a main dish to the vegetable buffet.

It's great to be able to enjoy popular dishes from the days of "Western Restaurant Hanaya," such as the "Crispy and tender pork cutlet with red miso sauce set meal" (1,780 yen), "Homemade hamburger steak with Japonaise sauce set meal" (1,880 yen), and "Today's fresh fish grilled with Saikyo miso set meal" (1,880 yen)!

You can also order single items such as "One Homemade Fried Shrimp" (200 yen), "One Homemade Cream Crab Croquette" (180 yen), and "One Homemade Fried Horse Mackerel" (480 yen).

For children, we offer the following menu items: "Children's buffet only (ages 4 to elementary school age)" (500 yen), "Children's fried chicken set meal" (850 yen), and "Children's chicken nanban set meal" (950 yen).

By the way, this restaurant is only open during lunch hours from 11:00 to 15:00. The time limit is 60 minutes and payment is by cash only.

First, I'll report on the vegetable buffet (1,280 yen for 60 minutes).

There are always more than 30 kinds of dishes on the counter, all made with fresh vegetables procured directly by the chef from farms throughout Kyushu, mainly in Fukuoka. You can arrange as much as you like on your plate.

The bowl is full of raw vegetables, including shredded cabbage, komatsuna, mizuna, kale, and sunny lettuce! What's surprising is that you can even eat as much kale, a well-known ingredient in green juice, as much as you like.

There are 10 different homemade dressings to choose from, so it's hard to decide which one to choose.

We have familiar side dishes such as boiled komatsuna, boiled spinach, stir-fried carrots, potato salad, and freeze-dried tofu,

A wide variety of vegetable dishes are available, including honey sweet potatoes, fried taro, broccoli tempura, and kale tempura.

It was my first time to eat kale tempura, but it was not bitter at all and was crispy and delicious! I ended up having seconds.

Great value for money and delicious! Set menu of main dish and vegetable buffet

The vegetable buffet alone is satisfying, but the set meals are also amazing!

This time, we ordered the chef's recommended "Mixed Fried Tartar Sauce Set Meal (1 crab cream croquette, 1 fried shrimp, 1 fried horse mackerel)" (1,880 yen) and "Domestic Pork Loin Vacuum-cooked at Low Temperature with Ginger Sauce Set Meal" (1,680 yen).

Aside from the main dishes in the center of the photo (Mixed Fried Tartar Sauce) and the top left (Domestic Pork Loin Vacuum-cooked at Low Temperature with Ginger Sauce), the rest of the dishes were taken from the vegetable buffet. You can customize your meal to your liking.

The "Mixed Fried Tartar Sauce Set Meal" is very filling!

When I picked up the fried horse mackerel from the plate with my chopsticks... What? It's huge! It's as big as my outstretched arms. It's also thick, fluffy and crispy!　 The special tartar sauce goes perfectly with this dish.

The fried shrimp, which can be eaten from head to tail, is very satisfying with a crispy head and plump meat. The creamy crab croquette, overflowing with cream, was also delicious!

This is the "Domestic Pork Loin Vacuum-cooked Low-Temperature Ginger Sauce Set Meal." The thick and juicy pork loin is delicious, with the more you chew it, the more the flavor spreads throughout your mouth. This main dish comes with a vegetable buffet for just 1,000 yen, so it's a great value.
