[Tenjin Reward Lunch] High-quality and sophisticated! A popular long-established Chinese restaurant relocates to a new building (Fukuoka City)
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who shares the hottest information about Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce you to a long-established Chinese restaurant that has relocated and reopened in a new building in Tenjin.
Reopening! Popular long-established Chinese restaurant "Tenjin Chateau Hanten" (Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
"Tenjin Chateau Hanten" is a long-established Chinese restaurant that was loved for 35 years on Southern Street in Tenjin until December 2024. On January 31, 2025, it will relocate and reopen on the second floor of "Hulic Square Fukuoka Tenjin", which is directly connected to Tenjin Station on the subway!

The interior of the store is a warm, wood-toned space.

What catches your eye are the jade decorations on the walls! These were actually used in the store before it moved.
The items that survived the 2005 Fukuoka West Offshore Earthquake were restored and handed over to the new store. This is a precious piece of interior decor that shows that this is a store that has been loved in Fukuoka for many years.

There are two private rooms at the back with tables that seat six, and if you remove the partitions it can accommodate up to 12 people.
It is a sophisticated space perfect for important occasions such as business dinners, anniversaries, and meetings.

A luxurious course meal for your special day!
At "Shado Hanten," you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine based on Beijing and Sichuan cuisine, making use of seasonal ingredients.
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from affordable dishes such as the specialty "Seafood Golden Ankake Fried Rice" (1,980 yen), which is light egg fried rice topped with a fluffy golden sauce containing shrimp, squid, and white fish, and "Dan Dan Noodles" (1,430 yen), to the luxurious "Whole Braised Japanese Shark Fin" (11,000 yen).
Of course, ala carte dishes are available, but enjoying a course of high-quality Chinese cuisine in this wonderful space is truly something special.
The photo below shows the special lunch-only course "Koto Hanten" (6,600 yen per person, minimum of two people, reservation required). This course also allows you to enjoy the specialty dishes of Shato Hanten.
The menu includes an assortment of six appetizers, shark fin soup with crab eggs, seafood dish of the day, seasonal spring rolls, meat dish of the day, seafood fried rice with golden sauce or seafood soba noodles in soup, and a seasonal dessert.

You can have a dining experience that makes you feel like you're traveling around Kyushu.
The menu includes an assortment of eight appetizers, steamed Hanamidori chicken and jujube soup, shark fin and milt spring rolls and handmade xiaolongbao, Nagasaki grouper in chili sauce, stir-fried Imari beef with XO sauce, Oita Ajiichi green onion soup soba, and almond tofu with Miyazaki dekopon compote.

We'll report on the taste of the product!
This time, they prepared a platter of recommended dishes from the course menu especially for us to try (this will be different from the actual product served).

My personal favorite dish is "Imari beef stir-fried with XO sauce"! The delicious flavor that spreads the moment you put it in your mouth is irresistible.
"Jellyfish Tossed in Kabosu" is so delicious that you'll become addicted to its crunchy texture and the refreshing acidity of the kabosu!
"Steamed chicken with scallion sauce" is a superb dish with a combination of tender chicken and fragrant scallions.

"Almond jelly with Miyazaki Dekopon compote" is an exquisite combination of the refreshing aroma of Dekopon and the smooth, rich taste of almond jelly!
