[Kurume Lunch] You'd be missing out if you didn't know about this! A Neapolitan pizza specialty store where you can enjoy the authentic taste
Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce you to a wood-fired pizza restaurant in Kurume City.
Authentic Neapolitan taste! Oven-baked pizza specialty store "Da Sighettino" (Kurume City)
Da Sighettino is located in Arakicho, Kurume City, along National Route 209. The restaurant is run by an owner who trained in Naples, Italy, the home of pizza.
The sign with the illustration of a suspicious old man catches your eye. This old man is actually a traditional Neapolitan character called "Pulcinella." He is apparently as well-known in Naples as "Kumamon."

Well then, I'll be off.

The first thing that catches your eye when you open the door is the huge wood-fired oven! In addition to this oven, all the ingredients for the pizza dough, such as flour, cheese, and tomato sauce, are sourced from Italy.
The delicious aroma fills the air, and your anticipation rises.

On the counter, there is a photo of the owner in Naples. He has been training for over 10 years, and his skills have been recognized by the local pizza chefs' association!
In addition to counter seats, there are also table seats.

You could eat as many as you like! Exquisite crispy and chewy pizza
On this day, lunch was served from 12:00 to 14:00. In addition to nine types of pizza, seasonal menu items were also available.
The "Lunch Set" (110 yen) that you can add to your pizza is definitely worth a try! It comes with a mini salad, four appetizers, and coffee. It's limited edition.
I ordered the most popular pizza, "Panna" (1,485 yen), plus the "Lunch Set." I also ordered the "Drowning Octopus" (990 yen), which has a repeat rate of 60% among regulars.
The owner runs the restaurant by himself, so it will take some time for your food to be served. Please be patient.

The first thing that arrived was the Lunch Set, which consisted of a mini salad and four appetizers.

All the appetizers have just the right amount of saltiness, and are sure to go well with alcohol. You can tell they've been carefully prepared.
It's also nice to wrap the salad in ham. Everything is delicious, and I'm so happy that I can eat all of this for just 110 yen!

This is "Drowning Octopus." The rich aroma of tomatoes will get your stomach rumbling.

Yessssss!!
What is this? I thought it was octopus stewed in tomato sauce, but it's something different.
It's not that simple, how should I put it...

It feels like a Neapolitan breeze.
Can you hear the voice of Naples? If you can't hear it, please eat this tomorrow.
And finally, it arrived! Pizza "Panna".
A combination of mozzarella, Parmesan, cream, ham and mushrooms.
It looks simple and has a milky scent.

This may be my first time eating pizza with fresh cream. I gently lifted it up and took a bite, with all the toppings still on it.

This is the real Neapolitan pizza!
The crispy pastry is so tasty you can eat it forever. The ingredients are a perfect combination, so you can eat as many as you want.
He makes his bread faithfully following his master's words: "It's not food that makes you feel heavy in your stomach after eating. Keep making light dough."

By the way...I dipped the crust of the pizza in the ``Drowning Octopus'' sauce and ate it.
It would be a shame to leave any of this sauce. The various flavors are concentrated in this sauce, making it a flavor that you can sip endlessly. Please enjoy it until the last drop.

Finally, finish off with a coffee from the lunch set.

This aftertaste is irresistible.
Once you try it, you'll understand the excitement. Please give it a try! (Text by Yorimitsu)
