Teppanyaki where a "sea of deliciousness" appears! A noteworthy restaurant that is open until 7am the next morning (Kurume Bunka-gai)

Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.

This time we will introduce a teppanyaki yakiniku restaurant that is open from 7pm until 7am the next morning. This is a must-see for those who drink alcohol and those who want to enjoy the nightlife in Kurume to the fullest.

Open until 7am the next morning! The exquisite "teppanyaki" restaurant "Teppan Yakiniku Ultra Gonchan" (Kurume City)

We arrived at Hiyoshicho in Kurume City.

"Teppan Yakiniku Ultra Gonchan" is located on the first floor of a building about a two-minute walk from "Sanbonmatsu Park." When the restaurant is open, you can see a large balloon sign along the road.

This exterior is nice. It has a deep atmosphere and you might feel uneasy at first, but it's not a place that only welcomes first timers, so please feel free to come in.

The restaurant has counter seats that are convenient for solo diners, as well as sunken kotatsu and table seats, so you can choose the seating that suits your needs.

It's a restaurant where you can enjoy "teppanyaki" - garlicky meat and lots of cabbage on a hot iron plate - but it's in a class of its own from the teppanyaki I know! It was so delicious that it overturned my previous "conceptions about teppanyaki."

So, we will introduce the "Teppanyaki" (1 portion 1,000 yen, 1.5 portions 1,400 yen, 2 portions 1,800 yen) and the owner's recommended "Ramen" (800 yen).

A sea of deliciousness emerges! Coreless cabbage and meat "Teppanyaki"

First, we ordered the signature dish, "Teppanyaki." We ordered 1.5 servings (1,400 yen).

"Your teppanyaki will arrive shortly," the lady said, placing a wooden stick down on us, but what on earth is this...?

Just as I was thinking that, I noticed that there was a guide on how to eat it. That was very helpful.

After reading it, I understood that that's what it meant. To push the oil to one side, a wooden stick is placed under the drip tray and the iron plate is tilted.

Then a piping hot iron plate came from the kitchen, making a sizzling noise.

The sense of guilt of eating this late at night or early in the morning is unbearable. Of course, I ordered "Rice (with miso soup)" (medium 200 yen) (rice is also available in large 300 yen and extra large 400 yen).

Before I started eating, I placed a wooden stick on the plate. This subtle angle is great.

You'll understand this later in the process. This tilt causes the delicious oil to accumulate on one side.

And above all, the best thing about this iron plate is that it does not contain any cabbage core.

The owner told us, "I don't want the water from the core of the cabbage to release into the ocean of delicious flavor and dilute the flavor," and his dedication is clearly apparent in the dish.

Dip the cabbage in the spicy miso sauce that's on the table and take a bite. This combination is just irresistible.

It's great to have with alcohol, or for dinner (or breakfast).

As you continue eating, the ocean of deliciousness finally appears.

Let the cabbage and meat swim smoothly in this ocean.

This is something you can eat endlessly.

Some people say that the core of cabbage is the tastiest, but I definitely prefer the leaves.

By the way, there is spicy miso on the table, which comes in both mild and spicy varieties, so choose whichever you prefer.

Change the flavor with spicy miso! "Ramen" packed with special attention to detail

"Teppan Yakiniku Ultra Gonchan" offers a variety of other a la carte dishes in addition to "Teppanyaki," but today we'll go with the "Ramen" (800 yen).

This ramen also seems to be full of attention to detail.

The quality is so high that it is now worthy of being introduced as a ramen restaurant.

Thick char siu, Ah, come on. It is nice.

Because it's located in the cultural district, it's a great place to stop by after a night of drinking, or as your first stop.

The soup is rich but not too heavy, so you can drink it all.

It's rare to find soup that you can drink down to the last drop, but with this one I find myself drinking it unconsciously.

The thin noodles are also nice.

Put some ramen on a small plate and top with spicy miso for teppanyaki...

I'll mix it well.

Wow! So good!

They also have "Spicy Miso Ramen" for the same price as the "Ramen" (800 yen), so if you like spicy food or want to pair it with alcohol, you might want to order that from the start.

Finally, add the ramen soup to the rice that you had left over from the teppanyaki, and add a little bit of spicy miso.

If you mix this thoroughly...

This is the perfect way to end a meal or after drinking.

Wow, it was so good! It was so good that I immediately started making plans to come back next week.
