Recommended lunch in Kurume! "Choose meat and 3 types of curry" Exquisite spice curry set
Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.
I finally found a great curry restaurant. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this day to be able to introduce it to you.
This restaurant opened on March 1, 2024, and serves truly amazing curry. Curry lovers, head to the restaurant with excitement.
Produced by an owner who has mastered spices! Enjoy food that will "balance your mind and body" at "Charcoal Grilled Meat and Spices Mitono" (Kurume City)
So, I came to Hotarugawa-cho, Kurume City. Today I would like to introduce "Mitonari, Charcoal Grilled Meat and Spices."
This restaurant uses seasonal and local ingredients to provide dishes that will "balance your mind and body." At lunchtime, they focus on curry supervised by a spice sommelier, but for dinner, you can enjoy charcoal-grilled meat and spicy dishes, from course meals to a la carte. It can also be used as a cafe, and they have a wide selection of gluten-free sweets and breads on the menu!
If you are going out by car, there is an affiliated parking lot, but the location can be hard to find, so please check with the store.

The interior of the store is very clean.

I don't know what's in it, but there are various spices lined up on the counter.
They use so many spices to make curry.

This is carefully selected charcoal.
Charcoal-grilled meat has concentrated flavors, making it taste twice as good.

By the way, there is a second floor as well.

The space is spacious like this, and there is no designated time, so you can relax and enjoy some sweets after eating your curry.

There were also three kinds of pancakes baked with 100% rice flour and Basque cheesecake (the "Pancake Tower" is only available during cafe time).

I ordered the "Three Kinds of Mixed Curry Set," which includes "skirt steak" meat, three types of curry: "King Red Curry," "Hakata Wagyu Scorched Keema Curry," and "Shrimp Yellow Curry," and rice with "turmeric." I also topped it with a "soft-boiled egg." The drink was "craft ginger ale."
The total was 1,800 yen plus 150 yen for toppings, making it 1,950 yen.
Look at this beauty.

It's great to be able to enjoy three different types of curry on one plate, and it's apparently very popular with people who want to enjoy a little bit of each delicious dish.
As you can see, the ingredients are plentiful and the volume is impeccable.

"Skirt steak" with a strong charcoal aroma.

Wow! Spicy!
It has a refreshing spice flavor. Dip it in the curry and you'll be hooked after just one bite.

Of the three curries I chose, I like this "Hakata Wagyu Scorched Keema Curry" the best.

Image: Detour
The curry has a rich flavor and aroma, and is spicy but keeps on eating, with just the right amount of spiciness.
This is "Shrimp Yellow Curry."

It has a delicate flavor, so I recommend trying it first. Next time I come, I'll try it before the spicy keema curry.
I hope you all will learn from my lessons.
"King Red Curry" is a smooth, flavorful curry that soaks into your blood and goes perfectly with turmeric rice.

First, let's each enjoy our curry, then we'll crack the soft-boiled egg.

Woohoo! That's good!
After thoroughly enjoying the overflowing yolk volcano...

I'll have one luxurious bite.
It was so smooth and the spiciness in my mouth subsided for a while.

By the way, for those who don't like it spicy enough, there are plenty of spices available to add on.

Image: Detour
It might be good for changing the flavor later on. It really enhances the flavor.

To finish off the meal, we had the "Ginger Basque Cheesecake" that came with the set.

Image: Detour
As the name suggests, this cake was accented with the aroma of ginger and had a strong cheese flavor.

I felt it would be a waste to just go home like this, so I ordered some additional sweets.
"Homemade bean paste and Yame matcha pancakes with brown sugar syrup sauce" (1,100 yen).

The knife slides in smoothly.

Image: Detour
It's incredibly soft, and if you listen carefully you can hear the whoosh sound of the air escaping, which is also really nice.
Ahhh... how sad...
Oh my, it's so delicious I'm at a loss for words.
After fully enjoying the sweetness of the bean paste, you can add brown syrup to change up the flavor in the second half, so you can enjoy it until the last bite without getting bored.

Eating both might make you full, so it might be best to share.
The sweets are also delicious, so we recommend stopping by the cafe. (Text by Yorimitsu)
