I want to try them all! A popular takeout specialty store nationwide with many exclusive menu items (Wakamatsu Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love sweets.
This time, we will introduce a warabimochi specialty store located in Wakamatsu Ward, Kitakyushu City.
Enjoy the creamy texture of "fresh warabi mochi"! Takeout specialty store "Torori Tenshi no Warabi Mochi Kitakyushu Hibikino Store" (Koshiki Hibikino, Wakamatsu Ward, Kitakyushu City)
"Torori Tenshi no Warabimochi" is a takeaway specialty store that sells "fresh warabimochi" made with rare "hon-warabi powder." The "Kitakyushu Hibikino Store" opened in February 2023.

The location is about a 5-minute drive from JR Chikuho Main Line, Honjo Station, on Prefectural Route 11 heading towards Wakamatsu.
The chic black exterior is cool ♡ There is a shared parking lot around the building.

Inside the store there was a gachapon machine for kids (elementary school students and younger) that you could spin with coins, which made my daughters very happy.

We also offer a student discount service of 50 yen off drinks for elementary school students to university students.

It's primarily a takeaway establishment, but if there are no other customers you can sit inside and eat and drink there.

The only place to find the original "Drinkable Warabimochi"! Introducing the limited edition products from "Kitakyushu Hibikino Store"
Since I was there, I decided to order the "Drinkable Warabimochi" which is only available at the Kitakyushu Hibikino store.

"Strawberry Milk Frappe" (730 yen), newly introduced in September. *The warabimochi on the left in the photo is a separate order.

The gentle sweetness of strawberry milk spreads throughout your mouth, creating a mellow taste.
The warabimochi that sinks to the bottom of the frappe is soft and can be sucked up through a straw, yet it's amazing how it still has a firm, bouncy texture!
Next up is the "Double Chocolate Cookie" (730 yen), a cafe frappe containing drinkable warabimochi, made with COSTA Coffee, a cafe brand that originated in the UK.

Just seeing the words "COSTA Coffee" got me excited♪ I enjoyed the crunchiness of the cookie and the rich taste of the coffee.
The syrup used in all frappes is from MONIN, a brand recognized by professionals around the world.

You'll be amazed at how delicious these authentic frappes are! You can really feel the manager's passion and love for them.
By the way, "COSTA Coffee" is used in five types of drinks: three types of cafe frappes, "Caramel" (730 yen), "Double Chocolate Cookie" (730 yen), and "Mocha" (730 yen), as well as "Costa Iced Coffee" (730 yen) and "Premium Iced Coffee" (730 yen).

Apparently they grind the beans and brew each cup after receiving an order.
The Kitakyushu Hibikino store is the only "Torori Tenshi no Warabimochi" store that sells "COSTA Coffee," so coffee lovers should definitely check it out.

The ultimate combination of fluffy omelette and creamy raw warabi mochi
This is also a signature product exclusive to the Kitakyushu Hibikino store, the "Warabimochi Omelette" (380 yen each, 1,000 yen for a set of three). From the right in the photo, there are three varieties: "Chocolate," "Uji Matcha Kinako," and "Kinako."

Image: Yurichan
They look very cute, and lining up three of them together makes them even more photogenic!
Let's start with the "chocolate". The chewy and jiggly warabimochi sandwiched between omelette dough looks just like a truffle or raw chocolate! It's got a real sweet feel to it.

The combination of "Uji Matcha Kinako" and warabimochi has a warm and calming Japanese flavor. It was irresistible for matcha lovers!

My husband tried the "soybean flour" and said it was delicious!

The calories in one "Warabimochi Omelette" are about the same as one rice ball, so you don't have to feel guilty about eating it. The fluffy dough and the creamy warabimochi go perfectly together!
All of the products introduced this time are original products of Kitakyushu Hibikino Store!

The menu will also be changing within this month, with plans to strengthen strawberry offerings in preparation for winter (photo below is for illustration purposes only).
