[Kitakyushu City] Kokura Castle and Katsuyama Park

Katsuyama Park is a place of relaxation for the citizens, with the theme of "an oasis in the city in the 21st century." There are about 300 cherry trees in the park, and when they bloom all at once, they announce the arrival of spring.

The combination of Kokura Castle, the symbolic presence towering over the park, and the cherry blossoms in full bloom is outstanding! The best time to see them is usually from late March to early April. You can enjoy the beautifully lit castle tower and cherry blossoms at the same time.

In addition, the Kokura Castle Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled to be held from Saturday, March 22nd to Sunday, April 6th, 2025.

During the period, festival-style food stalls will be set up, and there will be a variety of events, including a new stage performance by the Kokura Castle Samurai Corps and various stage events, and the area around Kokura Castle, including the castle tower, the plaza in front of the castle tower, Kokura Castle Garden, and the Historical Road, will be livened up with various events.
