[Fukuoka City Chuo Ward] Prefectural Tenjin Central Park
Tenjin Central Park is an urban park located on the site of the former Fukuoka Prefectural Office, and features a vast grassy plaza and the Guest House, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.
It is just a 3-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and adjacent to "ACROS Fukuoka" and "Fukuoka City Hall," making it extremely accessible.
In spring, 50 cherry trees of various varieties, including Somei Yoshino, Satozakura, and Yamazakura, planted along the Yakuin Shinkawa River, bloom in full glory, pleasing the eyes of many visitors as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot.
If you plan to enjoy cherry blossom viewing at Sakura Hiroba between Friday, March 21st and Sunday, April 6th, 2025, you will need to apply in advance and pay a fee. Apply on the Tenjin Central Park website or at the Tenjin Central Park Management Office.
During the above period, the area will be lit up from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Food trucks will also be operating from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on March 21 (Fri), 22 (Sat), 23 (Sun), 28 (Fri), 29 (Sat), 30 (Sun), April 4 (Fri), 5 (Sat), and 6 (Sun).

Maizuru Park is located about a 15-minute walk from Tenjin, the center of Fukuoka City, and is also known for being the site of Fukuoka Castle ruins.

The "Fukuoka Castle "Spring Castle Tower" Illumination" event, which features temporary structures resembling a castle tower set up on the castle tower base for a limited time, is also running until Sunday, April 6th (some restrictions on access to the castle tower base have been relaxed, there is a fee,Official site hereThe view of the "Spring Castle Tower" and cherry blossoms shining at night can only be seen now, and is a must-see.

Another attraction is that you can enjoy the peonies and Chinese peony flowers along with the cherry blossoms. In the Peony Garden within the park, about 30 kinds of colorful peonies are in full bloom around mid-April, and early-blooming peonies begin to bloom in late April.

[Fukuoka City Chuo Ward] Nishi Park
About a 15-minute walk from Ohori Park Station on the Subway Kuko Line is Nishi Park, where Koun Shrine, dedicated to Kuroda Josui and Nagamasa, is located.
It is the only place in Fukuoka Prefecture that has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan" (selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association, a public interest incorporated foundation).

There are about 1,300 cherry trees planted here, including Somei-Yoshino and Yoko-zakura varieties, which bloom in full glory, drawing many visitors to the park.
From the central observation deck, which offers a great view, you can get a panoramic view of Fukuoka city, Hakata Bay, and Shika Island.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled to be held from Thursday, March 27th to Monday, April 7th, 2025. During the festival, from 6pm to 10pm, both sides of the 52 steps leading to Hikariun Shrine, the plaza below the steps, and Sakura Valley will be lit up! [Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City] Uminonakamichi National Seaside Park
Umi-no-nakamichi Seaside Park is a vast national park located in Umi-no-nakamichi, between Hakata Bay and the Genkai Sea.
There are various facilities, such as "Animal Forest", where about 50 species of animals live, "Sunshine Pool", a plaza with large play equipment, and cycling courses, so there are many ways to enjoy yourself.
Another great attraction is that you can enjoy beautiful flowers all year round.

Nokonoshima Island Park, a natural park on Nokonoshima Island, can be reached in about 10 minutes by ferry from Meinohama Ferry Terminal.

About a 10-minute walk from Hatae Station on the JR Chikuhi Line, there is a row of cherry trees on both banks of the Ikeda River (Zuibaiji River) that flows on the east side of Hatae Elementary School.

[Dazaifu City] Homangu Kamado Shrine
Located at the foot of Mount Homan in Dazaifu City, Homanmiya Kamado Shrine is a shrine famous for matchmaking.
It is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and around the end of March, about 200 cherry trees, including Kawazuzakura, Kanhizakura, and Weepingzakura, all come into bloom at once.

The cherry trees stretch from the front parking lot all the way to the approach to the shrine, so when they're in full bloom the whole area is bathed in a pale pink hue!

Dazaifu Citizens' Forest is a place of relaxation for citizens located at the foot of Mt. Shioji, north of the former Dazaifu Government Office site.
The west side of the forest is called the "Spring Forest" and the east side is called the "Autumn Forest", and you can enjoy cherry blossoms on the west side and autumn leaves of deciduous trees on the east side.

[Asakura City] Amagi Park
Amagi Park, located in Asakura City, is a place of natural beauty that is loved by locals as a place of relaxation. It is known as one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in the prefecture, with approximately 4,000 cherry trees planted within the park.

The sight of cherry blossoms, mainly Somei-Yoshino, blooming all at once around the gourd-shaped Maruyama Pond is a sight you won't see anywhere else. The reflection of the cherry blossoms in the pond is so beautiful that you'll lose track of time while gazing at them!

[Asakura City] Sakura at Akizuki Cedar Baba
Akizuki is a popular tourist destination that still retains the atmosphere of a castle town and is known as the "Little Kyoto of Chikuzen." Its beauty in spring and autumn is especially not to be missed.
About 200 cherry trees line both sides of Sugino-Baba-dori, the main street leading to the Akizuki Castle ruins, and in spring it turns into a 500-meter-long "cherry blossom tunnel."
You can enjoy a meal while admiring the cherry blossoms at the outdoor stalls along the street. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is usually from late March to early April.
In the evening, bare light bulbs light up the cherry blossoms, creating a very atmospheric view (from sunset to around 10pm).

The remains of Kurume Castle, the castle of the Arima clan, who ruled the Kurume domain for about 250 years during the Edo period, are a prefectural designated cultural property.

[Kurume City] Asai's single cherry tree
The "Asai no Ipponzakura" cherry tree is carefully protected by the local community, having been designated a preserved tree by the city in 1986.
The trunk is 4.3 metres in circumference, 18 metres in height, and is said to be approximately 120 years old!

The sight of the pale pink flowers blooming all at once is overwhelming. Enjoy the "upside-down cherry blossoms" reflected on the surface of the pond.
The cherry blossoms usually bloom in early April, about a week later than the Somei-Yoshino cherry trees. Please check the cherry blossom blooming period before heading out.

Hirahara Park is a forest park located at an altitude of 300m on the slopes of the Mino Mountain Range, overlooking the Chikushi Plain and the Chikugo River. The surrounding area is dotted with the Hirahara Tomb Group, so you can enjoy both nature and history.
Every year between late March and early April, approximately 800 cherry trees and azaleas bloom across the park, creating a gorgeous spring-like scenery.

[Ukiha City] Nagarekawa Cherry Blossom Tree Line
A row of about 350 cherry trees stretches for about 2km along the Kosegawa River. The best time to see them is usually from late March to early April.
Because the trees are so densely packed together, the promenade looks like a tunnel of cherry blossoms, creating a mystical beauty.
Depending on the location, you can also enjoy the contrast with the rape blossoms blooming along the river.

"Ukiha Area" Article List
[Yame City] Senbonzakura at Hinatakami Dam
"Hyugakami Dam" is located in Hyugakami Gorge upstream of the Yabe River, where the legend remains that the god of Hyuga descended on a Pegasus horse. It is also known as a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves, but the cherry blossoms are also not to be missed.
Approximately 1,000 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees are planted around the dam lake, making it a famous cherry blossom viewing spot known as Senbonzakura. The highlight is not only when in full bloom, but also when the cherry blossoms start to fall and the lake surface is dyed a pale pink.

In addition to the Heart Rock, a popular power spot, the strange rock formations around the lake, including seven rocks named after the Seven Lucky Gods, are also worth seeing.

"Yame Area" Article List
[Kitakyushu City] Shiranoe Botanical Garden
Shiranoe Botanical Garden is the only flower garden in Kitakyushu City, located on a small hill on the east side of Moji Ward. You can enjoy plants and flower scenery of all seasons.
Spring is the most spectacular season. Around 700 cherry trees of about 60 varieties bloom one after another until late April, including the early-blooming "Wanzakura" and "Kawazuzakura" cherry blossoms that bloom in February. From the end of March to early April, the mountains are painted pink with cherry blossoms.
Don't miss the 450-year-old "Shiranoe Satozakura," a natural monument designated by Fukuoka Prefecture. Also known as the "Mother and Child Cherry Blossom," it blooms with beautiful pale pink flowers every year around mid-April.

The Sakura Festival will be held from March 29th (Sat) to April 6th (Sun), 2025. There will be a Sakura Tour Slump Rally and sales of plants and flower seedlings. Lunch boxes will also be sold on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival.
In addition to cherry blossoms, peonies, rhododendrons, tulips, and other flowers bloom in full glory, and the fresh green leaves of the approximately 800 maple trees are also a highlight.

[Kitakyushu City] Kokura Castle and Katsuyama Park
Katsuyama Park is a place of relaxation for the citizens, with the theme of "an oasis in the city in the 21st century." There are about 300 cherry trees in the park, and when they bloom all at once, they announce the arrival of spring.

In addition, the Kokura Castle Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled to be held from Saturday, March 22nd to Sunday, April 6th, 2025.
During the period, festival-style food stalls will be set up, and there will be a variety of events, including a new stage performance by the Kokura Castle Samurai Corps and various stage events, and the area around Kokura Castle, including the castle tower, the plaza in front of the castle tower, Kokura Castle Garden, and the Historical Road, will be livened up with various events.
