A popular restaurant that requires reservations has relocated and reopened! Exquisite pasta lunch with many fans (Fukuoka City)
Hello, I'm ayu.latte, a writer who loves delicious lunches.
This time, I'd like to introduce you to a cafe in Fukuoka that I personally think serves the best pasta lunches.
Relocating and reopening in July 2025! "Moku" (Yanase, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City), a restaurant where you can enjoy exquisite pasta
We visited "Moku," a delicious pasta restaurant run by a married couple.
The store was previously located in Hakozaki, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka, but was forced to relocate due to the aging of the building, and reopened in Yanase, Minami-ku, Fukuoka on July 15, 2025.

Right in front of you is the hugely popular local supermarket, Daikyo Value Yanaga Branch.
The shop owner says he has been visiting the store since he was a child, and feels a connection to the store having opened nearby. It's an interesting supermarket that's always trying new things, so it seems like it would be fun to do some shopping there after a meal.
As a contract has been signed, those who use "Moku" can use the parking lot at "Daikyo Value Yanagiya store."

The main reason for naming it "Moku" is that it sounds cute and is easy to remember!
Rather than being a prestigious Italian restaurant, they aim to be a familiar local pasta restaurant.

The interior of the store is the same as the previous store, with a warm wooden interior and a relaxing atmosphere.

It has an open feel and is very comfortable.

There are counter seats that can be used casually by one person, as well as table seats that seat four people.

You'll have a hard time deciding which one to order! Pasta guaranteed to satisfy
The menu also includes "Tomato Curry" (1,290 yen), "Mentaiko Cream Risotto" (1,360 yen), and "Margherita" (1,150 yen), but my top recommendation is their signature pasta dish! You can choose from 12 different types.

This time, I chose "Shrimp and Fresh Tomato Peperoni Cheese" (1,590 yen) and "Garlic Tomato Sauce" (1,560 yen)!
"Shrimp and fresh tomato peperon cheese" is my favorite dish at "Mokumoku" ♡
"Peperon Cheese" is an original menu item that combines peperoncino and cheese!
Because it is simple, they are particular about each ingredient, such as salt and cheese, and use Guérande salt and Grana Padano cheese.

And best of all, there are four large shrimp! You can taste the sweetness and umami, and the plump texture is very satisfying.
The remaining oil is infused with the aroma and flavor of shrimp and garlic, and is delicious when used to dip baguette in!

You can also add this spicy sauce to change up the flavor. We recommend adding it little by little.

The "Garlic Tomato Sauce" comes with a choice of shrimp or chicken, and I chose shrimp this time. You can also change it to cream sauce for an additional 110 yen.
They use a tomato sauce that has been carefully prepared over time, and garlic, onions, and large shrimp are sautéed each time an order is placed.
The restaurant is filled with the delicious aroma of garlic! The aroma whets your appetite. The tomato sauce is also filled with the garlic flavor, and the rich umami taste clings to the freshly boiled spaghetti.

Other dishes available include "Arrabbiata" (1,250 yen), "Carbonara" (1,490 yen), and "Mushroom Creamy Bolognese" (1,360 yen). A large serving of noodles (1.5 times the normal amount) is available for an additional 250 yen.
The set menu is a great value and highly recommended!
You can enjoy pasta and other dishes on their own, but I highly recommend ordering them as part of a set!
Set A is an additional 440 yen and includes a salad and drink, while Set B is an additional 660 yen and includes a salad, two appetizers, a baguette, a small dessert, and a drink, making it a great deal!
This time I chose set B.
The appetizers for the day were "Octopus with Genovese Sauce" and "Potato Salad with Prosciutto." Both were delicious!

And the main reason I recommend this set is the salad!
The salads, made with seasonal fruits and vegetables, change daily and are delicious.
On this day, it contained kiwi, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, and more.

After the meal, a small dessert of panna cotta was brought out. It was so smooth that it was sure to become addictive.

"Moku" is often fully booked with reservations at lunchtime. As it is run by just a married couple, they would appreciate it if you could call in advance even on the day if you don't have a reservation so that they can seat you smoothly.
Even though they've moved, this restaurant serves delicious pasta that you'll want to keep coming back for more. Why not give it a try? (Text by ayu.latte)
