More than 150 kinds of local sweets from all over Japan will be gathered at this event (10/30-11/9) in Fukuoka!

There are sweets loved by local people not only in Fukuoka but all over the country.

This time, we will introduce an event where local sweets from all over Japan are gathered!

[October 30th to November 9th, 2025] A huge gathering of local sweets from all over Japan! "Oyatsu Expo" to be held

The "Oyatsu Expo" will be held from Thursday, October 30th to Sunday, November 9th, 2025 at the "TSUTAYA BOOK STORE MARK IS Fukuoka Momochi Store" in Jigyohama, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

Over 150 types of sweets loved by locals from all 47 prefectures across Japan will be gathered together. What's great is that you can purchase just one of each ♡

This event was created as a sister project to the popular "National Bread Expo," and this is the second time it has been held in Fukuoka Prefecture in one year and three months since July of last year.

We will introduce some of the most popular and recommended snacks at the "Snack Expo."

Samsung "Yoitomake" (Hokkaido)

This rolled castella cake is made with plenty of refreshing haskap jam, and the sweetness of the dough and the sourness of the haskap go perfectly together. It is a famous Tomakomai confectionery that won the Honorary President's Award at the 22nd National Confectionery Exposition.

Tsukamoto Shoten "Machiko's Sesame Mochi" (Akita Prefecture)

This local confectionery was taught to Machiko, who worked for 40 years at Asahi Minami Takasagodo, a Japanese and Western confectionery shop that has been in business for over 50 years, by a member of the local women's association. It is completely handmade, made with rice flour from Akita Prefecture and plenty of white and black sesame seeds kneaded into it, giving it a marbled texture.

The more you chew it, the more delicious it becomes.

Daifuku Castle "Tochimochi" (Yamagata Prefecture)

The soft rice cakes are filled with plenty of horse chestnuts and encased in red bean paste. The unique aroma of horse chestnuts goes perfectly with the slightly sweet bean paste.

It's simple and has a comforting taste.

Daifukujo "Miso-ko Mochi" (Yamagata Prefecture)

This daifuku mochi filled with bean paste is generously coated with red miso and slowly deep-fried. The red miso is made from soybeans and rice grown in the Shonai region of Yamagata Prefecture.

The fragrant aroma of the miso and the sweetness of the daifuku are in perfect balance.

Kamejirushi Confectionery "Gorogoro Mame Daifuku" (Ibaraki Prefecture)

Twice the amount of carefully cooked Hokkaido red peas than in regular bean daifuku is mixed into the chewy mochi rice cake. The saltiness of the red peas brings out the deliciousness of the bean paste.

Kinseiken Confectionery "Shingen Mochi" (Yamanashi Prefecture)

The mochi rice cakes are made from 100% domestically grown glutinous rice and are brewed with the famous waters of Hakushu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, giving them a natural sweetness and texture. They are served with a generous sprinkling of homemade soybean flour and brown sugar syrup.

Minato Confectionery "Sasa Dango" (Niigata Prefecture)

The soft and chewy mugwort dumplings are wrapped around homemade bean paste and finished individually with natural fresh bamboo. The sweetness of the bean paste is just right.

Suzuya "De La Verte Deluxe Cake" (Wakayama Prefecture)

This exquisite treat is made with a specially blended and specially produced heavy castella cake, sandwiched with original jam and wrapped in white chocolate. The cute, retro packaging is also popular.

Mother Emu "Birth Mother Emu" (Ehime Prefecture)

The dough is made with Naruto Kintoki sweet potatoes and plenty of butter, and is filled with a moist egg yolk paste made with almond paste. Enjoy the rich, melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Chojuan "Ikinari Dango" (Kumamoto Prefecture)

Ikinari Dango is a Kumamoto specialty. It has a natural taste that is not too sweet, and the block-cut sweet potato makes it very satisfying to eat.
