[Tenjin Area Lunch] Fukuoka's first! "Double servings are the same price" exquisite oil soba specialty restaurant
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
This time we will be introducing "Abura Soba Hifumi Fukuoka Tenjin Daimyo Branch," a specialty store for "Abura Soba."
Abura soba is known as "ramen without soup," but the abura soba we're introducing today is surprisingly healthy despite its hearty appearance!
A satisfying Tenjin lunch! "Hifumi Abura Soba Fukuoka Tenjin Daimyo Branch" (Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
"Abura Soba Hifumi" opened in February 2025. It is located in the heart of Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, one block away from Nishi-dori Street, making it extremely accessible.

The interior of the restaurant, which stretches to the back, is entirely counter seating, creating an atmosphere where even solo diners can feel at ease.

Abura soba originated in Tokyo in the 1950s, and is now a commonly enjoyed gourmet food with many specialty shops popping up, mainly in the Kanto region.
Although it is gradually becoming more popular in Fukuoka, it is still quite rare, and on this day, customers were coming in one after another!

The price is the same no matter what size you choose! Customize it to your liking with toppings♪
The main menu items are "Abura Soba" (880 yen) and "Char Siu Abura Soba" (1,180 yen).
The price is the same regardless of whether you choose regular, large, or double serving, making this a great system for those who want to eat a hearty meal.

Additionally, toppings such as soft-boiled egg, green onion and sesame, extra bamboo shoots, cheese, quail fish, kimchi, and garlic back fat are available for 120 yen each. Value sets (2 items for 220 yen, 3 items for 320 yen) are also available, allowing you to customize your meal to your liking.

A limited-time menu item that can be changed to "Cold Abura Soba" is also available (scheduled until the end of September). The hearty "G-kei Abura Soba" (980 yen), made with garlic and back fat, is also popular. It can also be made without garlic, so you can enjoy it without hesitation even during your work break.

The restaurant uses a prepaid meal ticket system, so even first-time customers can order smoothly.
You'll be amazed at the first bite! The perfect balance of light and rich flavor
This time I had the "Large Abura Soba" (880 yen) topped with a "Soft-boiled egg" and "Scallion and Sesame" (220 yen).
The fragrant flavor of sesame is combined with plenty of green onions and the mellowness of a soft-boiled egg, creating a well-balanced taste that fills your mouth.

I was surprised at how light it was!
I had the image that "Abura Soba" was "rich" or "dense and heavy," but this dish is so light that it completely changes that image.
Despite its appearance, it's surprisingly light, so you'll find yourself eating it in no time. However, it has a rich, flavorful taste that leaves you feeling very satisfied!
The pork slices are thick and very satisfying.

You can change the flavor by adding toppings halfway through.

If you want to change up the flavor even more, you can use the various condiments provided on the table.

Personally, I found it to go very well with fish meal and loved it.
At first, I was planning to get the "regular" size, but the staff recommended that I get the "large" size, saying, "Even women often order the "large" size," so I went for the "large" size, and it was the right choice!

Another dish is the "Exquisite Cha-meshi Set" (1,400 yen), a hearty set that includes "Abura Soba" with "Char Siu Rice" and "Soft-boiled Egg".

"Soft-boiled eggs" are made using brand eggs, Ajiho eggs,

The moment when the rich yolk intertwines with the thick pork slices is truly blissful!

The secret to eating it deliciously is in mixing it!
The trick to enjoying abura soba is to add the special chili oil and vinegar and mix thoroughly just before eating!
A good guideline is to stir it twice for a regular serving, three times for a large serving, and four times for a double serving. Stirring it thoroughly from the bottom ensures that the flavor is evenly distributed throughout, allowing you to enjoy it deliciously until the last bite.

Another nice touch is that they offer a complimentary "bite-sized soup" that goes perfectly with the abura soba. It's great to have a little soup in the middle of eating your soupless noodles.

Although it may look rich, Abura Soba is actually light and low in calories and salt, making it perfect for health-conscious people.

Its convenient location makes it easy to stop by for lunch, after work, or as a final stop after a drinking party.
