This time, we will introduce a donut specialty store that is currently the talk of the town.

BLANKET DONUTS Iizuka Store (Yokota, Iizuka City) - A cute craft donut shop born in a rural town in Texas, USA - has arrived in Kyushu for the first time!

BLANKET DONUTS Iizuka store opened in the Yokota area of Iizuka city on April 3, 2025. This is the first store to open in Kyushu.

There are three parking spaces available, making it convenient to travel by car.

The roots of BLANKET DONUTS lie in a rural town in Texas, USA.

These donuts are made by hand, one by one, and are characterized by their chewy dough, which is developed by fermenting them in an electric blanket. They are sometimes called the "ultimate craft donut."

At the Iizuka store, the owner alone carefully handcrafts hundreds of donuts, one by one.

He wakes up at 3am every morning and starts preparing at 5am!

When the store opens at 11:00 a.m., a wide variety of donuts are lined up in front of the shop. As soon as it opens, many customers come in and the store becomes lively with warm conversations with the owner.

Donut prices range from 290 yen to 480 yen. On the day I visited, there were about 21 different types of donuts on offer, including new creations.

About 10 classic varieties + limited-time varieties! We recommend our wide variety of donuts!

This time we will introduce several types of donuts recommended by the owner!

Classic Glaze

The most popular menu item is the "Classic Glaze" (290 yen). This classic donut highlights the deliciousness of the donut dough itself, making it the kind of donut you'll want to eat every day.

When you hold it in your hand, you'll be surprised at how heavy it is! It's over 5cm thick and has more volume than you'd expect.

The chewy dough and crispy glaze are irresistible!

If you heat it in the microwave for about 10 seconds, you can recreate the fluffy and chewy texture of freshly made bread!

It's delicious to eat as is, of course, but in the summer it's also delicious to eat chilled, so you can cut it in half and eat one half warm and the other half chilled.

strawberry

"Strawberry" (360 yen) is a bright pink color, but no artificial coloring is used. It's the color of the strawberry puree itself.

The fresh acidity is a nice accent, and you can even taste the granular texture of the strawberries.

There are also donuts like this that have been reshaped from regular dough and filled with plenty of cream!

There are various types available, including "Whip," "Custard," "Chocolate Whip," "Chocolate Custard," "Hojicha Custard," and "Matcha Custard" (380 yen each).

This time I chose the "whipped" version, which was light and had plenty of cream with a moderate sweetness! I could really taste the deliciousness of the ingredients in the donut dough.

Mango Coconut

A limited-time summer flavor, "Mango Coconut" (360 yen), is a combination of two tropical fruits, mango and coconut.

The mango flavor was richer than I expected! The soft texture of the coconut added to it made it so delicious it made me feel happy.

Honey Lemon

Among the limited-time flavors, the "Honey Lemon" (360 yen) is especially popular every day.

The refreshing harmony of lemon and honey is irresistible! The juicy sweet and sour taste will fill your mouth.

Raspberry White Chocolate

The owner's recommended limited-time menu item is "Raspberry White Chocolate" (360 yen).

The vibrant color of these donuts is not the result of artificial coloring, but the color of the fruit puree itself! These are adorable donuts.

Due to popular demand, "Matcha" (360 yen) is back for a limited time.

Made with Uji matcha from Kyoto, it has an authentic flavor that matcha lovers will love.

This is a luxurious Japanese glaze that will impress you with its rich matcha aroma and deep, mellow flavor.

The "limited-time menus" introduced here are scheduled to be on sale until the end of August 2025. Popular flavors may be extended or re-released, so be sure to check back often.

Introducing a new menu item! Ice cream donuts perfect for summer

Starting around August 11th, new menu items perfect for summer will be available! "Scoon on Top" (480 yen) is the most popular item, "Classic Glaze," topped with ice cream.

There are three flavors: strawberry, chocolate, and caramel. This time, we chose chocolate.
