[New Yakiniku Restaurant in Fukuoka] The counter has a great atmosphere! The luxurious course meal with exquisite kamameshi is a hot topic (Kego)
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
This time we will introduce Yakiniku Tetsuya, a yakiniku restaurant that just opened on July 18, 2025 along Keyaki Street.
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy yakiniku according to the occasion, and both the atmosphere and the meat exceeded my expectations.
Opening along Keyaki Street! Yakiniku Tetsuya (Kego, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City) is a yakiniku restaurant with a great atmosphere
About a nine-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, you'll come across a stylish, eye-catching building along Keyaki Street. This is Yakiniku Tetsuya.

The first floor has a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for dates and anniversaries, while the second floor is a space that families can enjoy, similar to a popular yakiniku restaurant. The completely different styles are quite unique!
This time, we sat at the counter seats on the first floor, where you can mainly enjoy the course menu. The layout is designed to surround the central kitchen, so the cooking process unfolding before your eyes is truly "entertaining"!

You might think that eating yakiniku at the counter would be a little nerve-wracking... but the friendly greetings from the staff and the well-paced serving of food will put you at ease.

The relaxed atmosphere overturns the image of yakiniku being a lively place, making it perfect for dates and anniversaries.
The volume and presentation are amazing! Try the "Tetsuya Course"
This time, I tried the restaurant's recommended "Tetsuya Course" (7,900 yen).

The first dish to arrive was the "Homemade Roast Beef." The meat was cut to an exquisite thickness, with a nice char on the surface and a light aroma. When you take a bite with wasabi on top, the delicious flavor of the lean meat spreads throughout your mouth.

This "Salad" is not just any salad! The layers of leafy vegetables are like a mille-feuille, and it's filled with a refreshing jelly. It's the perfect dish to warm up before eating yakiniku.

The Wagyu Sirloin Yaki Shabu is lightly seared meat dipped in a melt-in-your-mouth yuzu broth. The aroma of yuzu and the fat of the sirloin blend together in a luxurious way that will leave you entranced.

The kimchi and namul that came as a palate cleanser was also excellent. The perfect balance of sourness, sweetness and aroma created a rhythm that made you look forward to the next piece of meat.

Next up was the "Three Kinds of Wagyu Beef Platter." On this day, the offerings were "Kamenoko," "Lump," and "Tomosankaku."
Each cut of meat is cooked and served at a different time, so you can rest assured that the staff will cook it to the perfect doneness, bringing out the best in the ingredients.
The "kamenoko" in particular is very soft and melts away in your mouth, spreading happiness in your mouth.

There's also a "2 kinds of skirt steak and offal platter"! It's plump and juicy, and you won't be able to stop eating even after the second half!

The final dish, "Today's Kamameshi," is corn and miso butter rice. The surface is seared, bringing out the fragrant aroma, and the mild flavor is rich and full-bodied. The ingredients in the Kamameshi change with the seasons, so you can enjoy it every time you visit.

For dessert, you can choose from "Amaou" or "Mango Passion" ice cream. The popping sound of the toppings is fun, and it was a very satisfying course that was entertaining until the very end!

Don't underestimate the side dishes and drinks!
"Avocado Kimchi" (520 yen), which was recommended to us midway through the course, is an a la carte item.

The creamy avocado is perfectly matched with the spicy accent of homemade kimchi. The mellow yet punchy flavor is addictive.

Another attraction of Yakiniku Tetsuya is its wide selection of drinks.

Our recommendation is the "Goku Lemon Sour" (850 yen) on the left in the photo. You can choose between the crisp barley shochu (Nikaido) and the mild, easy-to-drink jasmine shochu as the base.

Apparently they use a whole lemon grown in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, that is grown without pesticides and can be eaten whole, including the skin. Another great thing is that you can add more for an additional 450 yen!
Great for dates too! Reservations recommended
Yakiniku Tetsuya is perfect for both special occasions and everyday use.
The way the staff carefully grill the food in front of you, the perfection of the course, and the comfortable atmosphere... Everything about this restaurant makes you want to come back again♪
You can enter without a reservation, but it's becoming increasingly popular, so it's best to make a reservation in advance! Perfect for a slightly luxurious evening, an anniversary dinner, or a treat for yourself. Be sure to visit! (Text by Hakata Aya)
