Hello. I'm Suzuki Fuka, a writer who loves MUJI and has two elementary school-aged sons (ages 9 and 10) who love sweets.

This time, we will introduce three sweets that can be purchased at MUJI and are recommended for the hot summer.

1. Hokkaido Milk Soft Ice Cream (Corn): Mildly sweet with a clean aftertaste

The new "Hokkaido Milk Soft Ice Cream" (290 yen each) was released in June 2025. It comes in three flavors: "Salted Milk," "Caramel," and "Corn," and is made with carefully selected ingredients to bring out the flavor of Hokkaido Milk.

My recommendation is the "Hokkaido Milk Soft Ice Cream (Corn)," which is made with a paste of Hokkaido corn.

The moment you take a bite, the gentle sweetness of the corn spreads across your mouth. It also has a smooth texture!

It has a nice flavor, but it's not overly vegetable-like, and has just the right amount of sweetness with a clean aftertaste. It's the perfect flavor for summer.

2. "Cream Daifuku" - A melt-in-your-mouth taste! Enjoy the change in texture

A frozen dessert that we buy over and over again in our house is the "Cream Daifuku" (4 pieces, 450 yen). The soft mochi dough is filled with smooth bean paste and cream made from red beans from Tokachi.

It comes in a pack of four individually wrapped. The small size is perfect for when you're feeling a bit hungry. Another appealing point is that it's easy to share.

The balance of the dough, bean paste, and cream is just right, and the sweetness is exquisite and elegant. When partially thawed, it is chewy and satisfying, but when warmed up a little, it becomes soft and gooey, which is fun to watch.

3. Can also be enjoyed frozen: "Delicious chilled 100% fruit juice jelly with three kinds of fruit"

"Delicious chilled 100% fruit juice jelly with three kinds of fruits" (18g x 24 pieces, 490 yen) is an assortment of apple, grape, and mandarin orange flavored jellies made with 100% concentrated fruit juice. There are eight pieces of each of the three flavors.

It's very juicy and you can really taste the natural flavor of the fruit. The freshness is addictive, almost like drinking juice.

The small size and individual packaging makes it perfect for when you just want to eat a little. They are easy to open and can be eaten without getting your hands dirty, so they are also great as a snack for children.

We also recommend freezing it and eating it as a healthy ice cream with a crunchy texture. It's also very convenient because it can be used as an ice pack if you put it in your lunch box!
