Cute sea creatures make an appearance! Aquarium collaboration weekend-only dessert buffet (Hakata-ku, Fukuoka)

A wide variety of sweets so cute they'll make you smile!

A dessert buffet that is sure to be a hit will be held at the ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka Hotel.

[Only available on Saturdays and Sundays from June 1st to August 31st, 2025] Popular characters from the aquarium are now available as cute sweets at the "Aquarium Dessert Buffet ~Friends of the Sea~" (ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka)

Celebrating its 35th anniversary last year, Marine World Umi-no-Nakamichi, which exhibits around 30,000 marine creatures from 350 different species with the theme of "Kyushu's Seas," is collaborating with ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Fukuoka in front of Hakata Station in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.

The Aquarium Dessert Buffet -Friends of the Sea- will be held at the all-day dining restaurant Crown Cafe on the first floor, on weekends only from Sunday, June 1st to Sunday, August 31st, 2025.

The aquarium's popular characters will be available as cute sweets.

The hours are 15:00-16:30 (usage time 90 minutes). The fees are 5,000 yen for adults, 2,800 yen for elementary school students, 1,500 yen for 4-6 year olds (preschoolers), and free for 0-3 year olds.

For children of elementary school age and younger, there is an exciting gacha machine!

Approximately 30 types of sweets and 10 meal options available

There are about 30 adorable-looking sweets available, all made using summer fruits.

The "Hyokkori Garden Eel Melon Shortcake" features a garden eel peeking out from a shortcake made with fresh Kyushu cream and juicy melon flavor, as well as "Sakura-chan's White Chocolate Mousse" (center photo), which is a cream made with passion fruit and mango wrapped in milky white chocolate mousse, with the motif of the round-eyed spotted seal "Sakura-chan."

The adorable "Cape Penguin Meal-kun and Moe-chan Chocolate Marshmallow"

The lineup is sure to leave you dizzy, including "Koharu-chan's Black Sesame Panna Cotta" (photo left) and "Mother Luna and Stella, the Friendly Mother and Child Dolphin Banana Roll Cake," which features a whole banana wrapped in condensed milk and fresh cream, with a chocolate dolphin swimming happily through ocean blue cream.

In addition to sweets, there will also be 10 different meal options on the menu.

The "Seahorse Dip" (pictured below) features seahorse and Japanese moray eel grissini peeking out from the smooth hummus,

Be sure to try the "Marine Blue Curry" - you'll be amazed by its color, spices and authentic flavor! It's also recommended to eat it with the bamboo charcoal naan, which is inspired by the short-finned pilot whale Yuki-chan.
