Treat yourself to a dinner! A luxurious teppanyaki course featuring A5 beef and spiny lobster (Nishinakasu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce teppanyaki dinners that you can enjoy on special occasions.
The weekend-only lunch specials are also a hot topic! A perfect restaurant for special occasions: "Teppanyaki Hashi to Fork" (Nishinakasu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
Teppanyaki Hashi to Fork is located about a 10-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. It is on the third floor of a building right next to Prefectural Tenjin Central Park (the side of the Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Kihinkan). *Only stairs available.

The interior of the restaurant is mainly comprised of stylish counter seats.

There is also one private room with nine seats (for four or more people), so it is recommended for those who want to spend a more private moment.

This restaurant will celebrate its third anniversary in September 2024, and offers exquisite cuisine prepared by a skilled chef with many years of experience.
I became a big fan of the chef, seeing how cool he looked while cooking and his warm and kind personality that came through in his interactions with us over the counter.

The lunch menu (3,300 yen/5,800 yen courses), which is only available on weekends, is currently very popular, but this time I tried the dinner course (a la carte options are also available *in the latter case, a table charge of 1,000 yen per person applies).
Be amazed by the tastes created by our skilled chefs! An exquisite dinner course
There are four types of dinner courses, starting from 12,800 yen per person. *Drinks not included
This time, I splurged and ordered the most expensive course, "Live-killed spiny lobster and special A5 Japanese black beef course" (17,500 yen per person).
The "Live-killed spiny lobster and special A5 Japanese black beef course" includes an assortment of three appetizers, Itoshima baby leaf salad with truffle dressing, live-killed spiny lobster teppanyaki, 100g of special A5 Japanese black beef (you can change the lean beef to fillet for an additional 3,000 yen per person), seasonal grilled vegetables, garlic rice, soup, two kinds of dessert, and an after-meal drink. We'll introduce each dish one by one.
Assortment of 3 types of appetizers
The first dish is a 3-kind appetizer platter. Roast beef is a standard dish, and the other two dishes change regularly.

The roast beef is cooked at low temperature for two hours, making it very tender and allowing you to enjoy the refined flavor of Japanese beef.
The other two dishes on the day were smoked salmon and prosciutto. The pickles served with the ham were also homemade and made from carefully selected ingredients.
All three dishes were masterpieces that demonstrated the chef's dedication.
Itoshima baby leaf salad with truffle dressing
"Itoshima Baby Leaf Salad with Truffle Dressing" is a gorgeous dish made with vegetables carefully selected by the chef.

Topped with plenty of chef's homemade truffle dressing!
When I was shown the bottle of dressing, it was filled with truffles.
I have never come across a dressing that had such a strong truffle flavor before, and I was very impressed.
Live-killed spiny lobster teppanyaki
The Teppanyaki menu continues here.
First up was spiny lobster. On this day, it was a fresh catch from Chiba Prefecture, which boasts one of the largest catches in the country.

It was cooked quickly and skillfully and served with two types of sauce.

When cooked to perfection, the spiny lobster is packed with flavor and very meaty!
It's delicious as is, but adding the chef's special Americano sauce and homemade mayonnaise makes it even more delicious!

The Americano sauce, made with shellfish, blended well with the flavor of the spiny lobster. The homemade mayonnaise, with its refined sweetness, was full-bodied and mellow, something I'd never tasted before, and I was impressed. It was so delicious that I thought it was worth the course just to have come across this sauce.
100g of specially selected A5 Japanese black beef and seasonal grilled vegetables
After the spiny lobster, specially selected A5 Kuroge Wagyu beef (100g per person) and seasonal grilled vegetables are served.
The meat served on this day was ichibone from Miyazaki Prefecture's brand beef "Miyazaki Himawari Beef" (A5 rank).

Along the way, there are spectacular flames rising, so the time it takes for the food to be cooked is also fun.

You can choose how well you like it cooked, so I went for the chef's recommendation of medium rare.

It is served with toppings such as Himalayan rock salt, fried Aomori garlic, onion-based steak sauce, and chopped wasabi.
The evenly cooked chicken on the hot plate has a fragrant outside and a juicy inside that makes it incredibly delicious.
The chef's special onion-based steak sauce is also exceptional!
It had a deep flavor that brought out the quality of the ingredients, and even though I don't usually put much sauce on meat, I ended up using up all of it.

The grilled vegetables on this day were peppers, shiitake mushrooms, and zucchini.
Everything was grilled to perfection, and the shiitake mushrooms in particular were jaw-droppingly delicious.

Garlic rice and soup
The final dish of the teppanyaki meal was garlic rice, which was also the tastiest thing I have ever tasted.
First of all, the aroma of the mochi being baked is amazing; just that aroma makes you want to eat rice...!
By adding a special touch to the rice before baking, the flavor is absorbed into the rice. The addition of perilla leaves and cheese made for an extremely delicious dish.

The bowl of soup that came with the garlic rice was Wagyu beef and pickled plum soup.
The soup stock is made with red sea bream and bonito flakes, and has a refined and fragrant flavor that is irresistible. The tender Japanese beef and pickled plums were also delicious.

Two desserts and an after-meal drink
Dessert is homemade tiramisu and carefully selected warabi mochi.
Both were delicious, but the homemade tiramisu was especially superb. It had a rich, full-bodied, refined sweetness with a hint of bitterness, and the way the espresso soaked into the drink oozed out was amazing.

You could choose from coffee, black tea, or green tea to enjoy with your dessert.
By the way, you can add a "Message Dessert Plate" (2,000 yen) if you make a reservation by the day before (also available for weekend-only lunches).
A wide variety of drinks on the menu
The drink menu has a wide selection of wine (also available by the bottle), sake, beer, sours, highballs, whiskey, cocktails, shochu, soft drinks, etc. Since I was driving this time, I ordered "0.00% alcohol sparkling wine" (700 yen) and "non-alcoholic lemon sour" (800 yen).
The "0.00% alcohol sparkling wine" I was served had such a luxurious flavor and texture that I almost forgot it was non-alcoholic.
