Starting tomorrow, Wednesday January 22nd, "Japan's largest Baumkuchen festival" will begin at the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store.

[January 22-27] "Japan's largest Baumkuchen festival" arrives in Kyushu for the first time! "Delicious! Connecting! Baumkuchen Exhibition" held (Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store)

"Delicious! Connecting! Baumkuchen Expo" is Japan's largest Baumkuchen festival, bringing together Baumkuchen and its lovers from all 47 prefectures.

This year, it finally arrives in Kyushu for the first time! It will be held from January 22 (Wed) to January 27 (Mon), 2025 at the event hall on the 8th floor of the main building of the "Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin Store" (10:00-19:00 *17:00 on the last day).

At the venue, there will be booths from 22 brands selling Baumkuchen from all over Japan. In addition, more than 180 brands from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south will participate in the "Local Baumkuchen Corner". There will be more than 300 kinds of Baumkuchen from all over the country.

"Your Favorite 5 Types of Baumkuchen (1 Plate)" (510 yen) is a delightful plate that allows you to enjoy your favorite 5 types of local Baumkuchen in bite-sized pieces from 47 different types each day.

You can taste a little bit of everything you want to try or that catches your eye, so it can also be a useful reference for choosing a Baumkuchen when you can't decide which one to buy.

Drinks include coffee (hot and iced), tea (hot and iced), and mineral water (150 yen each).

Limited quantities available! Freshly baked Baumkuchen by AI craftsman "THEO"

また、会場にはAIを搭載したバウムクーヘン専用オーブン『THEO（テオ）』で焼き上げる、“焼きたてふわふわ”のバウムクーヘンが数量限定で登場。各日10：30～、11：30～、12：30～、13：30～、14：30～、15：30～、16：30～、17：30～、18：30～（※最終日は16：30～で終了）。

It's called "Freshly Baked Baumkuchen" (432 yen each)!

The carefully baked Baumkuchen has a rich egg flavor and is a delicacy that can only be enjoyed here.

Another fun aspect is being able to watch the overlapping parts of the Baumkuchen bake.

There's also a Baumkuchen baking experience corner that kids will love!

There is also a hands-on booth where you can bake your own Baumkuchen, the "Baumkuchen Baking Experience Corner" (reservations required, see the official website for details).

The participation fee is 1,100 yen (including a souvenir), and the time required is about 30 minutes (you will bake one Baumkuchen). Kids will love it!

Baumkuchen ring toss!? A chance to win a local Baumkuchen

There will also be a fun game where the first 500 people (※) each day can try throwing Baumkuchen-shaped rings at targets in eight regions across the country. *Total number of people for Course A and Course B

There is "Course A" (100 yen for 3 throws) in which you receive "one local mini Baumkuchen" from the region where the ring is located, and "Course B" (500 yen for 3 throws) in which if you get all of your rings into the same target you receive "one whole local Baumkuchen" from that region.

It's up to you which region's Baumkuchen you can get! Even if you don't hit the target, you'll still receive a "participation prize."

In addition, there will be a "Baum Roulette" limited to "Baumians" who are recognized for their surnames that contain the "tree" radical, a "Baumkuchen General Election" where you can vote for your favorite Baumkuchen, and on the day members of "Amato Danshi", special supporters of the "Baumkuchen Expo", will be coming to the venue!
