Amazingly delicious! A very popular shop serving the patissier's special "Amaou Parfait" (Kitakyushu City)

Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.

This time, we will introduce you to a sister store of a very popular sweets shop located in Hoshigaoka, Yahata Ward, Kitakyushu City.

Freshly baked sweets are available for eating in! "Patisserie Claire Hoshigaoka Store" (Hoshigaoka, Yahata Ward, Kitakyushu City) opens in October 2024

Patisserie Claire Norimatsu Branch (Yahatanishi-ku, Yahata City) is a popular shop where you can enjoy cakes, seasonal parfaits, and freshly baked sweets, created by the owner pastry chef with a career of about 40 years. I love this shop too, and on October 17, 2024, a sister store, Patisserie Claire Hoshigaoka Branch, opened.

It is about a 3-minute drive from AEON Mall Nogata. There is a spacious parking lot, so it is convenient to go by car.

There are many baked goods on display in the showcase.

From the entrance of the shop, you can see the sweets being baked through the glass.

Next to it is the eat-in space where you can enjoy seasonal parfaits, sweet plates, and cakes in the display case.

Outside the window, you can see a beautiful view of greenery spreading out along the water!

The owner fell in love with the view and decided to open a shop here.

The scenery is also very soothing.

Enjoy the pleasant scenery! A special "Amaou Parfait" made by our pastry chef

If there's one thing you want to try at Patisserie Claire, it has to be the seasonal parfait.

I especially love the "Amaou Parfait" that is available during strawberry season, and I go to the branch "Pâtisserie Claire Yokoshiro Branch" (Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City) every year without fail to eat it. This year, I had it at the "Hoshigaoka Branch".

This is the seasonal eat-in "Amaou Parfait" (1,870 yen). *Scheduled to be available until around May 2025.

It is served with a generous serving of fresh Amaou strawberries and garnished with chocolate and pistachios, making it a very visually appealing treat.

The strawberries are filled with vanilla ice cream, Amaou gelato, and more! They go perfectly with the soft and fluffy fresh cream and homemade custard.

The glass contained refreshing jelly, sponge cake, and granola for added texture, allowing me to enjoy the changes in taste and texture until the last bite.

The sponge in particular had a rich egg flavor and I was impressed that it was truly a parfait made by a cake shop.

The condensed milk served with it was milky and had a luxurious taste. It was so delicious that I poured it all over!

On the day I visited, there were three eat-in only menu items available: the "Amaou Parfait," "Custard Brulee Pie" (770 yen) and "Orange and Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc Plate" (1,400 yen).

By the way, if you order a set of sweets and drinks at the eat-in counter, you will receive a 100 yen discount. The recommended drink is "Mariage Fleur Marco Polo" (800 yen). The pot is large, so I was able to enjoy 2-3 cups.

This is a type of tea that is hard to find in Kyushu, but the owner was so impressed with its flavor and taste that he orders it online.

I really liked it and will definitely order it again next time.

There is also a wide variety of baked goods! The specialty is the crispy "custard pie"

The specialty of Patisserie Claire is the custard pie (308 yen for eat-in, 302 yen for take-out).

This is our most popular menu item, with the custard cooked in a special way, and is sure to sell out.

It's caramelized on both sides, and the owner says, "I hope you enjoy the crunchy sound while eating it."

When you cut it in half, you'll find it's filled with plenty of special custard cream!

The crispy pie is coated with rich custard, making it addictively delicious!

I was really impressed that Claire's custard pie was the best!

In addition to custard pie, the Hoshigaoka store also has a wide variety of baked goods, including freshly baked tarts. I'll introduce the ones I bought.

The "Caramel Nuts" tart (eat-in 352 yen, take-out 345 yen) is made with five types of nuts: almonds, cashews, pistachio, macadamia, and hazelnuts.

The tart crust is crispy and so delicious you'll want to eat it again and again.

The "Baked Mont Blanc" (eat-in 385 yen, take-out 378 yen) and "Baked Sweet Potato Tart" (eat-in 352 yen, take-out 345 yen) bring out the flavor of the ingredients.

The sweetness was modest and the taste was elegant. The tart dough was light and gentle on the palate, it was superb!

Although it was sold out on the day we visited, the pudding is also said to be delicious! It is made with rock sugar instead of granulated sugar, so it has a refreshing taste.

A wide selection of baked goods sets perfect for souvenirs

There are also many baked goods sets with cute packaging, including ones shaped like small bags.
