[Tenjin/Nakasu] A popular restaurant with Fukuoka specialties! Perfect for everyday lunches and special occasion dinners
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who shares the hottest information about Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce some recommended information for lunch in the Tenjin and Nakasu area.
"Mizutaki Motsunabe Hakatarou Nishinakasu" where you can enjoy Fukuoka specialties in a stylish space (Nishinakasu, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
Mizutaki Motsunabe Hakataro Nishinakasu opened on July 26, 2024 on the second floor of SHIP'S GARDEN, a restaurant facility in Suijo Park, about a four-minute walk from Exit 16 of Tenjin Station on the Subway Airport Line and Exit 1 of Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the Airport Line and Hakozaki Line.
Located in Shirokane, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, this restaurant is a sister restaurant of the popular "Hakataro" restaurant, which has been serving local Kyushu cuisine for 25 years. You can enjoy carefully prepared dishes using seasonal ingredients, such as mizutaki and motsunabe, live squid sashimi, and sesame mackerel, in a high-quality space.
The stylish interior has about 50 tables, and the best thing about it is that you can enjoy the view from the large windows from every seat.
There are three private rooms, named "Hakata," "Tenjin," and "Nakasu." These are great for family gatherings or business dinners, where you can relax without worrying about being seen by others.
Very popular lunch! Triple delicious "Hakata Chicken Mabushi" & "Hakataro TKG" that you can't stop eating
Be sure to check out the lunch menu, which is offered with the intention of making it easy for people working in nearby offices to enjoy as well!
This is the popular menu item "Hakata Chicken Mabushi" (1,320 yen).
Teriyaki Mitsuse chicken and two-colored minced meat are placed on top of Hinohikari rice from Itoshima cooked in a clay pot. It can be enjoyed in three ways: as hitsumabushi style, as is, with condiments to change the flavor, or as chicken chazuke in mizutaki soup.
Sweet and spicy minced meat, salty minced meat, and fragrant and soft teriyaki. All are full of flavor and you won't be able to stop eating rice! The refreshing flavor of the shiso leaves is also perfectly balanced.
Adding some spicy yuzu pepper completely changes the flavor, which is fun.
It's quite filling, but when you pour the delicious mizutaki soup over it at the end, it's surprisingly easy to eat.
By the way, you can also get extra rice for free!
I also like that the set comes with "Ice-aged Coffee" or "Hojicha," which have reduced bitterness and concentrated flavor.
This is "Hakataro TKG" (1,650 yen).
On top of the freshly cooked rice in the clay pot, there is a generous piece of Spicy Fish Eggs on top!
The main ingredient is the eggs from Soyo Farm in Kumamoto Prefecture, which are "Soyo no Tsuki" eggs laid by young chickens aged 200 to 350 days. They are fed seaweed such as kelp, so they are rich in minerals and other nutrients!
I had the most luxurious one, topped with Spicy Fish Eggs and egg. The soy sauce served with it is a carefully selected 9ml. It's the perfect amount, so I recommend pouring it all over!
The balance of the umami of the egg and soy sauce, and the moderate saltiness and crunchy texture of Spicy Fish Eggs are just perfect. It's so delicious you could eat it forever.
What's more, Hakataro's TKG comes with a lot of small dishes, which is nice! Each dish, such as the Chikuzenni stew and grilled sawara, was delicious and left me very satisfied.
This also comes with "Ice-aged Coffee" or "Hojicha".
Other dishes on the menu include the "Hakataro Seafood Bowl" (2,420 yen), made with fresh sashimi caught that morning, and the "Domestic Beef Motsu Miso Ramen" (1,100 yen) and "Domestic Beef Motsu Soy Sauce Ramen" (1,100 yen), both of which use dashi soup from motsunabe.
"Mizutaki Motsunabe Hakataro Nishinakasu" is a great place to go for a casual lunch or to take someone from outside the prefecture. Please give it a try. (Text by Hakata Aya.)
